A small boutique villa in a quiet street, providing an oasis of calm & tranquillity in Kandy. Excellent sized room with all the facilities you could require for a three night stay. View looking over the garden & pool an added bonus. Lots of comfortable plush sofas & seating in the public area adding to the relaxing feel. We ate dinner on all three nights as the incredible quality of the meals was a highlight of the visit. All freshly prepared on pre-order by the chef/patron. Breakfast was also to a very high standard. All staff were competent, efficient and very friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay & probably our best in Sri Lanka.

The hotel is cozya and very clean, with quiet rooms and a very relaxing bed. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely outstanding—one of the best we had in Sri Lanka! and definitely a highlight of the experience!

Our travel plans changed and, at the last minute, we needed a place to stay in Kandy. How lucky we were to secure the last remaining room at the beautiful, small, luxurious hotel. The first thing that stood out were wonderful staff who were always available and happy to help, first class service. We slept very well in a comfortable bed in our beautifully appointed bedroom which had everything that we could possibly need provided. We thought we had eaten well on our travels in Sri Lanka, but the food here was divine, especially the butter chicken. It was great to be able to relax around the pool away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. I would give Clove Villa six stars if I could.

If you want somewhere peaceful on the outskirts of Kandy, Clove Villa is perfect. A warm welcome from the staff who were all very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable. There is a small pool with loungers which is a haven after the busy city. Special mention to the chef. Breakfast was very good but dinner, on both evenings, was absolutely delicious. Some of the best food that we've had in Sri Lanka so far. I can highly recommend Clove Villa when in Kandy.

Excellent villa in local traditions!!!! They even gave me New Year gift!!!!! Please come - you wont regret! I liked all! Magical property, I did not want to leave. I stayed more, than was planned. This is the villa totally local style, everything in villa is customised. Small design detailes even. Old atlas of Sri Lanka, books about Budda. I came at 4 am, 2 persons were waiting for me, serving tea! In holy hight! Rooms are magical, nothing is from wholesale market. Cleaning is every 10 minutes. Pool is clean, mango trees on the territory. Chef is perfect, cooking meal specially for you! Prices are low !!! Even on gas station food can be more expensive. Customised soap with fragrance of spices!!! Shaving kits, tooth brushes, all provided. PIANO MUSIC playing in the villa. I can not recomend this place more!!!!! Opposite villa there is big hotel, but its not even in comparison with villa Clove - in Clove you are happy to come back !!!! Thank you, dear people of Villa clove!

The lobby has several distinct and nice places to lounge inside and outside, in case you should not want to sit in your luxurious room. The triple room was large enough for the four of us (with extra bed). Staff was very friendly and seemed like ever present to help with anything (especially Danushka, THX!). The airco has a "silent" slow blowing setting, which means that the four of us in one room had a comfortable night. This establishment has a remarkebly good chef, so diner was really good.

We stayed for 2 nights whilst exploring Kandy for the New Year. From the moment we arrived Umesh made us feel welcome. He arranged traditional Sri Lankan meals for us, catering to our vegetarian requirements on both nights. For both breakfast and dinner we were looked after by Danushka who was incredibly attentive. All meals were cooked fresh to order and incredibly delicious. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone staying in Kandy.

Small, comfortable and friendly hotel in a quieter area of Kandy. The food was delicious, we had different vegetarian Sri Lankan meals for two evenings sitting in comfort on the balcony. The staff were excellent in looking after us, would highly recommend.
