This hotel is excellent. Both the service and the scenery are amazing. Every staff member provides meticulous service while respecting privacy. The Buddha Tooth Festival was supposed to end very late, and we were worried about not having anything to eat when we went out. We wanted to ask the chef to make some food first and keep it hot for us when we returned. The manager insisted on waiting until we came back. The chef, who was supposed to close at 10:00, waited for us until 11:30 in the middle of the night. The warmth of this hotel lies in its customer-centric approach. This is the best hotel I have stayed in in Sri Lanka so far.

We stayed here for one night in two junior suites in August. We got the suite #6 which enjoyed a nice open view onto the town/valley. We were originally planning to attend the Kandy Esala Perahera and as a mid-way stop between Sigiriya and the Tea Trails, but the staff warned us against the crowd and the logistic nightmares of it, and we heeded the advice, and thankfully we did. People whom we met later on in the trip told was they were stuck there for 8-9 hours in potentially dangerous crowds with no way to leave. Instead of that, we went to town early and quickly thanks to its close proximity to town. We retreated back to this beautiful property and spent the rest of the day by the pool. Food was fantastic, drinks were great and service was equally awesome. A special shoutout to Malintha who took care of us throughout our stay. The hotel also provides transportation to town in a nicely maintained vehicle. This is the hotel to look for in Kandy town if you're looking for a luxury option.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel whilst travelling from Sigiriya (Water Garden Hotel) to Ella. It only has 9 rooms and 30 exceptional staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the friendly Sri Lanka staff are always smiling. Food is incredible and we had a lovely family yoga session overlooking Kandy. Owned by the ex-Captain of the Kandy rugby team, this British colonial (originally) building is positioned brilliantly out of the hustle and bustle of Kandy. A jewel in the crown. 100% recommend.

A beautiful oasis of calm in a chaotic, noisy, bustling but fun city. Like staying in a well maintained private residence. Really friendly and helpful team who cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended
