This hotel is way overpriced for the what is it. Whilst the staff is very nice and helpful, the building is run down and dirty. We got initially allocated the ‘ultra’ category room called black rajah. This room shouldn’t be called a room. Bathroom is dirty, ceiling is really low is you are taller than 1.80cm, careful with your head. It is a lower ground floor room located below the dinning restaurant so you hear every single step above your head. The door didn’t close properly let alone lock. Toilette is totally open, with a gap in the wall so you actually really have zero privacy whilst in the room wanting to use the toilet yet. The massage spot is in the middle of the garden so zero privacy and perfect for all type of mosquitos and other insect looking for a body to bite! I found the price charged for the hotel outrageously expensive comparing to other hotels in the region and country and for what it has to offer. Really disappointing and unpleasant experience overall.

This hotel is in an old mansion on the outskirts of Kandy. It’s like a peaceful oasis - our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. It’s in a good position to explore the area round Kandy.

Beautiful quirky hotel in an old mansion. The service is good and the food is excellent if a little pricey for Sri Lanka. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool is a little oasis in the trees. The rooms are nicely old fashioned but could do with a refresh in some areas like switches and plugs.

The welcome was lovely and our room had a wonderful historical feel. The ensuite bathroom was spacious with his and hers basins, but best of all was the semi private balcony area where we had all our meals served by our dedicated butler, Damidh. The property is a boutique hotel with only about nine rooms, set in lush gardens and with a beautiful, if brisk, swimming pool looking down the valley over rice paddies. We would definitely go back.

Amazing get away. Secluded and exclusive location. Beautiful grounds and pool. Gorgeous rooms and wonderful food. Staff is very attentive but respectful of your privacy. ❤️Perfect for a romantic getaway❤️ Definitely will return and spend more time here.

Beautiful, small, traditional-style hotel. We were the only guests for 2 nights and had been given a room upgrade so felt very special. Food was great, the service was excellent and the cocktails were amazing! It was the rainy season so there was no chance to use the pool, but it looked lovely. My only regret is that I didn't buy some of the toiletries from the bathroom when I had the chance. They were absolutely gorgeous, particularly the hair conditioner.

Phenomenal hotel. 24/7 pool was amazing we could watch the fireflies from the pool in the evening. Food was excellent. The manager Mendis and the staff were very helpful: I left my passport and keys in the room and they drove it down to the town before my train arrived.
