PROs: (1) Great location. Very close to the train station, with beautiful views from our room, the breakfast area, and the indoor pool (which has walls of glass). A short walk to the gondola that takes you to Oeschinensee. (2) The indoor pool and sauna (3) The breakfast buffet was very good, with many options and seating in a beautiful period room as well as outdoors, with fabulous views. (4) Dinner at the restaurant was top notch: the best meal we had on the trip! (5) We had a family-style room, which was very nicely furnished, with a small table where we were able to sit and have a refreshment in the afternoon before heading out again. It provided a separate room for our daughter, which she loved having! CONs: None! Not only would we stay again, but having been there with my husband and daughter, I'm now planning to book it again on a trip that I'm planning with my parents.

Excellent friendly staff. welcoming and very happy we stayed at this hotel in an amazing place. Only a 3 star but it was comfortable and clean. Fantastic location.

We love this hotel - perfect for families - the family rooms are spacious and there are lots of things for kids - outdoor and indoor play areas, swimming pool, great breakfast. Thanks for a great stay!

Grand old hotel located center of Kandersteg with large, comfortable rooms. The beautiful dining room had the best breakfast I’ve experienced in Switzerland. Lovely pool. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Not hyperbole- they went out of their way. Reasonable rates as well and spectacular views as a bonus. Very pleased to have discovered this hotel and will be back.

The hotel is excepțional, the location is just perfect, the views we had from our room were breathtaking. We loved the big size of our room, the towels, the girls at the reception that were so kind and helpful! We didn’t use the pool because we only stayed for one night and didn’t have time, but for us with the kids it is a great added value. The terrace behind the hotel was our favorite! We had our coffee feeling like 1 milion dollars! We would definitely return and stay for more days to be able to enjoy more all the great spots!
