wowwwww..... simply wowww one of the best hotel ever visited , from the ambience , location , food everything was simply fantastic . the warm welcome what they do to every guest by serving their home recipie tea along with doing tika on head made us feel super special . the checkin process was very fast and made our stay very comforable. would special thank king nobert who was incharge of restaurant , pradeep pastry chef ,shanmu sous chef, and many more staff who are the heart of this property which makes all the guest stay super special ..... A Special thanks to Krishna who takes care of tea factory she is the gem this hotel has. her warmth and love given to us was par apart , one of the clean hearted human ever met. must must visit this property ....

We have just spent 2 nights at Goatfell and felt it necessary to post a review. Sadly we were largely underwhelmed. The setting was impressive if not remote. The weather was poor and thus the hotel was very cold. There was a nice open fire in the drawing room in the evening which was welcoming but did not really heat the room satisfactorily. The worst criticism was however our room which only had a very small portable radiator. We asked for another one but because many of the staff had very limited English we never received one. We tried to keep the one radiator in constant use but it was on a timer and only ever on for a short period. The staff tried hard to please but we felt they were very poorly trained so the standard of service was substandard. We were on an all inclusive basis but frankly were very disappointed with the level of cuisine too. My take overall was that it was very poor value for money. We have toured around Sri Lanka for over a week and this was our fifth stop and by far the most disappointing and almost the most expensive. The cost of 2 days was £1496 and thus I felt we had very poor value for money. We are seasoned travellers and rarely complain but it would take a great deal of persuasion to book another Teardrop hotel!!

First of all, manager, Manusanka and crew at Scottish Planter Glendevon Bungalow are amazing. We stayed 3 nights. My mom and dad were not feeling well when we got to the bungalow. I was so worried and nervous about the situation. Team was very supportive and they went above and beyond making us feel home and prepared meals according to our requests and it helped my parents to feel better quickly. Mr. Manusanka reassured me that if there is any emergency let them know even if its late night they will be there to help us. Luckily my parents were feeling better the next day and we had a relaxing time there. Team is very kind and compassionate. The location is best to relax and unwind. They have a well maintained vegetable garden. Some juices and meals were prepared from freshly plucked vegetables and fruits from the garden. Chef Bandula prepares incredible dishes. There's a unique taste and variety in the dishes. The taste of the food ignite burst of flavors yet well balanced. One of my favorites is a garden salad he prepares. I am thankful for their great hospitality. We highly recommend the Scottish Planter Buglalow. Also, we will definitely visit the place again.

The room was small but clean, and our 3 suitcases were only allowed to walk sideways. The bonus points are added to the exterior and decoration style of the hotel. The photos taken are absolutely literary. The boss is very warm and gentle, and the dinner is very beautiful. Unfortunately, I am not used to it, and I am almost wasted. The next day at 5:30 in the morning, I will go to Horton Plains and the hotel will help pack the breakfast. If the room requirements are not high, definitely recommend it here.
