A Rain-Kissed Retreat in Coorg – Room 2112 Diaries We arrived in Coorg just as the skies opened up, washing the hills in a soft, misty drizzle. It couldn’t have been better timed — the perfect weather to unwind and soak in nature’s beauty. Our room, 2112, turned out to be a cozy corner of paradise. The view from the balcony was nothing short of breathtaking. Rolling hills blanketed in emerald green stretched into the distance, disappearing into a dreamy veil of rain and fog. The sound of raindrops tapping gently on the roof, the scent of wet earth, and the cool breeze that drifted in made it feel like time had slowed down. Inside, the room was warm and welcoming — the kind of place that makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket, sip on hot coffee, and just watch the world outside go by. Birds chirped in the distance, and every now and then, a playful breeze would dance through the balcony curtains. It was a simple pleasure — rain, mountains, and a room with a view. But sometimes, those are the moments that stay with you the longest.

Our stay in Coorg Marriot Resort and Spa was amazing and totally relaxing in every way.We went in May 2025 The property is set amidst rolling hills and forested plantation . Every view is vast and green at three hundred and fifty degrees. The rooms are beautifully appointed,the bathroom is a dream.The best shower I have ever had.An unusual feature was a wooden ceiling fan!! The staff are lovely, helpful smiling and so welcoming. Mr Karan introduced us to the amenities of the Marriot when we arrived. The property is enormous and one can walk it or there are buggys taking people to and fro from point A To B. Activities are many .... Swimming pool, Bird watching twice a day, Games room, Tambola in the evening, Bonfire at night. Now to the food it is a gourmets delight.A vast buffet for breakfast and dinner. We had special needs so we asked the Sous Chef Alagu raj to make a South in dian thali.I was gobsmacked at the perfection of the thali.Amazing flavours and we repeated it the next night.It was just as fantastic. All the meals we ate were lovely. They also serve a lovely high tea with chat, cake and other delights. Ms Prena took extra care of us and we never needed anything with her helping hand. It’s truly one of the best hotel I have stayed. Truly amazing. Great stay, excellent food, great spread in buffet, great bar facing the valley. They have a great property spread across some 37 acres. They took us for a plantation drive, trekking etc. we truly loved the place and hospitality.

In one word, it was an amazing experience. The property is vast, nestled within a valley and mountain range, and is royally maintained. The food, Resort staffs including Restuarant, Cleaning, buggy drivers and guards, were all decent and well-trained. It's the best place in Coorg for a relaxing stay with family or friends amidst nature.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this property. From our arrival it captured our heart with the delicious fragrance of Coffee flower blooms. On arrival Mr. Mampong at the front desk greeted us lovingly n special Thanks to him for upgrading our room from a luxury Cottage to a Villa. We enjoyed the spacious villa with the silence in nature and the music of birds singing. All the meals here were fantastic too. The high tea n special mention of in room dinning. Not only the taste of the food but the presentation n generosity is remarkable too. Everything , every nook n corner of this property n the service of the team here is SUPERB!
