The Bridge Residence Hotel Reviews

A short 5-7 minute grab ride from either the Kanchanaburi bus terminal or the train station. Check in was smooth and the front desk managed to fully meet our preferred room specifications. Depending on the hotel’s overall occupancy rate, one may have a full buffet spread (which we enjoyed the variety) or, a partial one (with one selected main course). Room is clean and spacious for the price paid. The shower head could be improved to have a better flow of the water. Gym equipment would require some improvements as well. Other than these 2 minor aspects, we will return to stay especially it’s within walking distance the delicious On’s Thai Issan Vegetarian restaurant.

Good we like this hotel! Very clean in the room, staff is very friendly too,very near to alot of delicious shops and restaurants, easy to get a garb car or tak tuk,

Very helpful and friendly staff who helped us plan our tours with rich knowledge. Parking js very convenient and the location, 4-min drive to Kwai Bridge is wonderful. However, the beds are facing the air conditioner which makes us uncomfortable.

Good service staff Breakfast is a good buffet (from asking, if you go on a day with few people staying, you might get an Alacarte style, which the hotel has a limit on. 1 person per 1 serving...Personally, I'd like to be able to order at least 2 servings per person) The TV can't watch Steaming, the air conditioner isn't cool...there is an indoor swimming pool but I didn't use it.

There is time to go back and rest again.

The overall design of the hotel is good, the breakfast is underground, and there are many styles. There are massage parlors, bars, restaurants, etc. near the hotel. The overall price is not expensive and acceptable.

Pros Clean and large room and bath. Friendly staff mostly. Bed was large for a family 3 (1 toddler) Easy access for transport vehicle. Near bars, convenient store and massage parlors. Breakfast is simple but more than sufficient. Improvements Aircond can be abit noisy Minor spiderwebs TV channels clear but limited Utilities like kettle can be replaced new Will come again? Yes.

We only stayed here for one night but the hotel and staff were excellent. Very modern room and all the amenities required. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby and not to far to walk to the museums and bridge. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable and well-serviced lodgings, friendly & helpful staff with adequate level of English, excellent buffet breakfast - great selection - with choice of indoor / outdoor dining. There's a café out front which is a great spot for leisurely people-watching, and becomes a bar in the evening. Cleanest public bathroom in all of Thailand in café area! Swimming pool was clean and partly shaded when I used it. Fitness room was basic. Numerous eateries and bars in the area, although it's at the quieter end of the street. 7-11 very close-by. Walking distance to night market and other attractions. Excellent and cheap laundry service nearby (30 baht per kg!). I'll stay here again.

We chose this hotel as we thought that it would be in a good location, for us, it was. The hotel is within walking distance of the River Kwai Bridge and other places of historical interest. Also within walking distance is the night market and there are numerous restaurants and bars that are also close by, including a 7-11 just a few minutes walk. The room was of a reasonable size, clean with typical tea and coffee making facilities. A small wardrobe with safe, some large shelves and only one stand for our two suitcases. The TV did not offer any English language channels that I could find. The bathroom we felt was of an adequate size, but the lighting was poor and my wife had to do her make-up in the hotel room which wasn't a much better experiance. Whilst the water was hot (I still like a hot shower when in Thailand), the shower itself was not great with the head only being able to placed into one of two positions and the actual spray being quite a small fan. The wash basin only had cold running water which is not ideal after using the toilet. There is only one lift for the hotel which generally is not a problem unless you have a coach party arrive or room service have trolleys with hot food to deliver and you have to wait for the lift to become available. The breakfast can be eaten inside or outside and is of a buffet type with a reasonable choice for the size of hotel. As often is the case with these types of breakfast offerings, hot food can become just warm as the flame beneath can be extinguished and do not appear to get replaced and/or reignited. Hotel staff were pleasant, smiling and helpful when required.

Excellent location. Good clean hotel with friendly staff. Would look to stay there again. Good range of breakfast.
