This was a wonderful place to stay. We went for two nights and stretched to three shortly after we arrived. We would stay for a week the next time. There are a lot of places to visit when in Kanchanaburi! The accommodation was a comfy cabin as described. Everything was very clean and the pool was refreshing. The location was perfect for us. A close walk of 5 to 10 minutes across a bridge to the bars, restaurants etc, It offered a quiet reclusive spot to rest in a beautiful yard filled with shrubs, trees and flowering plants. The breakfast was fresh fruit, eggs as you like them, toast, coffee, tea and fresh juice. I have left the best for last. Jim and her daughter, Gide, are both very kind and considerate hosts. They were fun to be around as well as very informative about the area and what it has to offer. They also helped us by organizing transportation and giving us good advice on tours. There is a very good European cuisine restaurant just around the corner from the Guest House., which we ate at a couple of times. Jim is now offering cooking classes as well. She is a GREAT cook. My wife and I will stay here again if we are fortunate enough to make it back to Thailand! There was much that we did not have enough time to do and we would love to spend more time with these two awesome people.
