The location is very good, right next to Qingchuan River. When we went there, we caught up with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, and the cherry blossoms along the road were so beautiful that we couldn't take our eyes away. The hotel looks old on the outside, but once inside it is very spacious, comfortable and spotless. Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle and the 21st Century Museum of Art are also within a 20-minute walk.

It was our first time in a traditional hotel like Yuya Ruru so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the location and overall comfort of the hotel. We stayed in a suite which was absolutely huge and had it's own outdoor hot bath, which was super nice. The beds were really comfortable and it was very nice being there, including breakfast which was a Japanese style buffet. The location is away from the central area of the city, along the river in a fairly quiet part of town. It was a nice and easy walk to the main attractions (like 25 minutes to the castle) or a quick cab ride. I wouldn't describe this hotel as spectacular or upscale, but it was clean and quiet and a perfect base from which to explore Kanawaza.

Traditional ryokan experience offering typical rooms with tatami and futon for sleeping. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The hotel offers communal baths and each room also has its own bathroom. The rooms are very spacious with a very nice terrace with a view of the river. The breakfast is excellent with traditional Japanese dishes.

We stayed with a plan that included breakfast. It would have been nice if dinner could have been included, but it wasn't. The bath was clean, but unfortunately small. Well, it can't be helped since it's a hotel. The breakfast was very satisfying and seemed to be carefully made. There were many Kanazawa vegetables and it was delicious. My eldest son got a blackthroat seaperch bone stuck in his throat. The staff were very concerned about him and were very nice. When we checked out, the front desk staff also worried about the fish bone and gave us a printed map of hospitals near the hotel that would be open that day. The hospitals were marked on the map, and their phone numbers and medical specialties were written by hand. This is what hospitality is all about. I would like to visit again.
