Lovely experience staying at a Ryokan. The rooms are spacious, and are a good mixture of modern and traditional. Located in the heart of the Higashi Chaya district.

Staff was friendly. It was in a great location. I would easily go to this location again.

This was one of the most gorgeous and automated place that we stayed, and real highlight of the trip. The setting is stunningly beautiful, and the amenities are fantastic. The mix of modern and traditional Japanese elements, the neighborhood and the bathroom of our dreams. It takes a while to get used to how every component of the house requires a manual to operate, but this place can align itself with your needs and comfort with astounding precision. What a beautiful place.

Our introduction to traditional Japanese accommodation. It's in the heartbeat of the Higashi Chaya district and very close to the Castle/Kenroku-en. Service was exceptional and very considerate after our train was delayed by 6 hours. They have 24h reception so no issues with late check-in. They were also very friendly and didn't mind adjustments to the included breakfast. Location is very close to Kanazawa Station - I'd highly suggest just taking a taxi especially if you have big bags. It was only $13 AU at around 9pm. My only complaint - the room is a little bit dusty. Maybe the A/C filter needs to be replaced? Otherwise it's 10/10.

terrible experiences... we were not happy about this choice...have regretted that i should have got mitsui garden hotel instead. first of all, we could not find the place though we drove around the area for more than 40 minutes. to make the matter worse, friend's new lexas got stuck and could not get out the narrow street. took at least stressful 30 minutes. we gave up and asked a barber shop. i had to run around another 30 minutes and finally found the place, but nobody was inside...only the number for emergency...i had to use the friend's phone to call...a guy showed up on a bicycle to tell us where we stopped was the closest to the inn and due to no access by the car, we had to drag heavy luggages for about 200 meters...later, we found there was closer access next morning, when we got a taxi. it was a nightmare!!! then futons were thin and hard. no sheet for a blanket!!! another nightmare. regretted again i should have reserved more well known larger hotel!!! the girl, kaori-san and the other night shift young man were very nice and wonderful, though...we could not go to the market or any small places in the famous area...
