The restaurant claims to be fine dining, but it's nowhere close. The starter was bland and boring. I ordered beef for the main course, but it was horribly overcooked and no one asked how I wanted it. The Béarnaise sauce was terrible and the rice was mushy. My girlfriend had the salmon, and it was so overcooked it was almost funny. I thought the dessert would be safe, but the panna cotta was so loaded with gelatin it was nearly inedible. Luckily, I brought a cake, so we had something good to eat. Honestly, the food here is not worth it. I've worked in fine dining all my life and have 16 Michelin points in Europe, so I know what I'm talking about. For such a nice lodge, they really need to fix the food. ---

Food was excellent. The lodge is so welcoming with people and building. As solo traveler did not feel isolated or unwelcome. It was nice to be seated at table with other people. Suddenly 2.5 hours go by and you have had interesting conversation. Food was excellent.

The lodge is in a remote, beautiful setting and it feels very peaceful. The cabins are comfortable and warm (which was needed as it was still pretty cold). The food is plentiful and of an excellent quality and the staff knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend

Off the beaten path but a must-visit lodge. Great value compared to other high-end experiences in AB’s parks

The area of this lodge is beautiful and you are only a ten minute drive from some great trails. The food overall is quite good, the afternoon tea and charcuterie was a lovely highlight! The staff are friendly, and it was wonderful in the sense that the place is smaller capacity, so there are few people around and you can find privacy to enjoy the views. If you go, ask about the shape of the drive up to the resort. When we were there, the roads were incredibly rutted due to accumulated erosion that had gotten out of hand. If they get this fixed, cars would be able to navigate it, but when we were there, I was glad to have a truck otherwise I would not have been able to reach the parking lot. My 3-star is mainly because for a 2-day stay, based on the overall experience and comparing it to other similar places, the value wasn't quite there for me. The property definitely needs some TLC, and there was pressure to leave a big tip at the end when we had paid in advance and so had no bill to settle up. Normally I have no issue tipping in everyday situations, but other than having meals brought out, we didn't interact with anyone beyond how you might at a hotel's front desk to ask a question or two. At this place's price point, that's expected service. So being pressured to leave a % tip on leaving left a bit of a sour note for me.

What a wonderful stay we had at the lodge in the glamping tent. The service, the people, and the food were off the charts! We had to do 2 hikes just to make room for all the delicious food that was included with our stay. It was very special and we will remember the experience for a very long time. We will be back 110%!!
