Atagawa Ocean Resort is a fantastic choice for travellers who don’t drive, as it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. The location is stunning - imagine waking up to the beautiful blue sea right outside your room! The breakfast is also great, with a great variety of dishes to represent the local culture.

It was exactly like the pic, really big and spacious. Breakfast has a wide selection and was great too. We had a car, so it was convenient, not sure about public transport though.

The onsen is very nice with both indoor and outdoor ones. The room is clean. It’s a bit difficult to find in location and it’s a pity that we have not tried the food there, but there’re some small restaurants around that are nice.

The hotel is in a great location, with a balcony facing the sea. I was lucky enough to see the sunrise, which was magnificent. The breakfast was very rich, and you can choose from a variety of delicious dishes in the buffet restaurant. The hot spring pool is a public large pool with both indoor and outdoor areas. The environment is quiet and comfortable, and there are several small shops with good food.

The hotel is 300-400 meters away from Izu Atagawa Station, close to the sea, with a very nice view and relatively new facilities. Most of the guests are Japanese tourists. Breakfast and dinner are self-service. The room is large and comfortable. The only pity is that my wife didn't take a hot spring bath during the two nights we stayed because she had not recovered from pneumonia. This is also the biggest regret of this trip to Izu. If I come to Izu again next time, I will probably choose to stay at this hotel.
