There is a hearth in the room, and the interior is Japanese-style. However, the toilet and bathroom are shared, which is a little inconvenient. The food is rare, with many local ingredients, and was as delicious as the reviews said. The bath is a cave bath, so the hot spring itself is very good, but it feels humid. As it is a youth hostel, I didn't have high expectations, but the homely service and quiet environment made me a fan. The room was a relaxing twin room on the first floor, and it was clean. The hot spring water, which flows directly from the source, was very warm. It is spacious enough for about four people, but was more than enough for the number of guests. We only ordered breakfast, and it was a delicious, homey, hot breakfast. The surrounding area is filled with exceptional nature, even for Hokkaido, including the Taushubetsu Bridge and Lake Nukabira. On the other hand, as brown bears are frequent in this area, I think it would be dangerous to visit Taushubetsu Bridge unless you go on a tour.
