Hearthstone Elegant Lodge by the River

A truly wonderful lodge . Stayed in the main lodge . Elegant yet very relaxed atmosphere. This is so a 5 star place. Setting is gorgeous. We walked down to the river which was lovely . All staff and owners definitely take pride in this place . Lots of outdoor areas to enjoy the views. Rolf, the innkeeper come historian, is a BONZA bloke .

Quite expensive but made up for it with old world charm. Large clean room with everything but a microwave, including a whirlpool bath, good selection of hot drink available in the room. Old style building with fancy Iron railings and verandas' all around. Well situated above the Clearwater river. Breakfast provide offsite at their own bakery in Kamiah, good breakfast. Staff in both locations were friendly and helpful.

What a lovely family run inn, nestled in the Clearwater river valley. We had a second floor king room with a river view and a walk out balcony. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The attention to detail like soft, fluffy, fresh towels, cozy robes, and perfect pillows on the bed are some of the things that set this place apart. Everyone we encountered was gracious and accommodating. Enjoy hiking trails on the property, locally run restaurants just minutes away and the quaint town of Kamiah. We will definitely be back!

My sister and I stayed for 5 nights. We were in town to say our final goodbye to our father who was dying from cancer. We did not know what to expect upon our arrival, as we all know you can make most places look better in photos than the reality. This is one of those rare times that the photos did not do justice to the accommodations. The rooms are large. Spotlless. And most comfortable. And the lodge, inviting and decorated with a warm and loving touch by the owners. I have stayed in many places: The Breakers in Palm Beach Fla. The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, Ca. Etc. I'm not saying this is a grand resort. What I am saying is....I'm particular as to cleanliness. The Hearthstone will not disappoint. And may I suggest the” Good Morning America” breakfast as a fabulous choice on the menu. The home style fried potatoes with the link sausage. It was spectacular. A special thanks to the warm hospitality to Rolph ( front desk) and Melissa the housekeeper. I don't write reviews often. The Hearthstone deserved a shout out. The breakfast does not show the sausage links. But as mentioned, I highly recommend.

I was delighted to find Hearthstone Elegant Lodge. The most important word being ELEGANT. The decor was absolutely amazing. It was hard to be able to really look at everything in only 3 days. The owners Harty and Marjorie made a special effort to meet us personally as we are also B&B owners. They have so much knowledge and decorating sense. Our room 201 was beautiful with a view of the Clearwater River off the veranda. Very quiet and each morning we had a delicious breakfast at the Hearthstone Bakery and Tea House in downtown Kamiah. We recommend this hidden gem when you are exploring our beautiful state of Idaho.

Pro - Huge room with good beds, linens, ambiance, quiet, view, huge jetted tub. Con - One pillowcase looked like a rodent chewed on it. Worn upholstery on the rocker. Mini blinds don't do a total blackout, and the porch light goes on at dusk. The light did go out around 10. 2 queen bed room only had 2 towels. Steep gravel road up to the lodges. No microwave. There are two buildings. We were in the newer one.

What a lovely experience for an over night stay! True vintage furniture and decor. The bed was amazing, wood provided for the fireplace, large jacuzzi tub. We traveled with our Golden Retriever and our room was perfect to access the grass and trail for a walk. Best part, we were welcomed to pick the wild blackberries and it brought back wonderful childhood memories. The breakfast that is included will require you to leave the property but easy to check out and visit the bakery in the quaint town of Kamiah on the way out. Recommend you make the effort to stay here.

We had a wonderful experience, our stay was an unexpected highlight of our trip! Spotlessly clean, wonderful amenities, great hospitality, couldn’t ask for more. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Stayed in room 203 overlooking the river biggest balcony at a hotel I’ve ever stayed Owners were there hands on to all our needs And then some. Never stayed at a facility with such friendly folks and price was a $100 less than other hotels.
