Gen Hotel Kamakaura

The hotel does not have any registration staff. It is a self-service method, but the check-in method requires a reservation number, but I did not receive any message. I also left a message on the official website before departure, but did not receive any reply. I didn't care much about it when I arrived at the hotel and got it in front of the self-service machine the night I arrived. I couldn't check into the room after 20 minutes. I finally asked a local Japanese to help me call the hotel to get the room key. Fortunately, I was able to check in in the end

10 minutes walk from Kamakura Station. It is located right in front of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. When you hear that the grounds are connected to the Hojo clan, you might think it's austere, but it's a functional and modern hotel. Check-in is also unmanned, so you don't have to meet anyone. The room is about the size of a one-room apartment for a single person, and the interior is modern, chic, and clean. We also have the necessary supplies. The window is just a light, so you can't see the scenery. I was happy with the bath gel. The rooftop is a common space for guests, with a table and chairs, so we ate breakfast while looking at the cherry blossoms in full bloom at Dankatsu and the torii gate of Hachimangu Shrine. By the way, there is no restaurant, so I bought breakfast at a convenience store. There is a Sanrio Cafe on the 1st floor. Considering the location, functions, and price, it would be perfect as a base for sightseeing. The only complaint I have is that when entering the guest information on the check-in screen, I had a hard time not realizing that I had pre-entered the information and had to scroll through it. From 6 ★, I reduced it by 1 ★ to 5 ★.
