Absolutely amazing hotel. Me and my friend stayed here on my first holiday abroad, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. From the staff, to the rooms, to the facilities every single thing exceeded my expectations of booking this place considering how cheap it was. I cannot recommend the restaurants food enough, it’s absolutely delicious and has a huge variety of what to choose from (from pastas and pizzas to Greek dishes it truly had it all, I would’ve been happy dining there every night) the location aswell is excellent, a small walk away from any shops or restaurants you’d need, I highly recommend the leilas taverna for authentic Greek cuisine, a short walk up the hill from the hotel. My friend was in tears when we had to leave as everything and everyone was so nice and accommodating, nothing was ever too much !! If you’re looking for a place in Greece to stay for your first holiday away with friends, I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Hotel a little basic but so clean. Perfect as a base. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels which are crisp white. Away from the hustle and bustle of faliraki but close enough. Had a wonderful time here. Weather amazing and location fantastic to get around

Stayed last week at the Achousa. Situated off a very busy road and about 20/25 mins walk from Faliraki and 10 mins from the nearest supermarket. The hotel is basic but clean and functional. The outside space is lovely with trees and green areas around the pool which has lots of sunbeds. The room we stayed in was very small and very dated. It did have everything you need but the beds are really uncomfortable and the pillows are extremely flat. Woke every morning with back pain. The balcony overlooked the pool and has a small table and 2 chairs. We spent a lot of the holiday on the balcony and ate there as we were self catering. This hotel is fine if you want basic accommodation but the furniture, fittings and bathroom does need updating. Owners were friendly and helpful.

Still here ATM. We leave today. 13/9/24. If you want a 5 star hotel and service, do not come here. However, if a good traditional Greek hotel is what you want, you won't get much better than this. I'll try and keep it straight to the point. Pro's ...... Room is fine. Shower good. Basic bed but slept well. Towels changed every 2 days but if needed just find 1 of the cleaners and get fresh ones daily. Nice balcony (316) with pool and sea view. Beautiful pool. Food is nice. We're self catering so didn't much at the pool bar. (All the self catering appliance work fine) Reasonably priced. Supermarket is a 10min stroll. Out of the hotel to the main road and turn left. Past the BP garage and it's on the set of traffic lights. Falaraki is within walking distance too. Out of the hotel and left. Approx 35min walk. Used a taxi to get there 1 night. The ride took about 3mins and it's a minimum charge of €10. There's a few good bars you pass on the way down there too. Hired a car for 1 day and a quad for another day. Approx €100 for both but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel on the main road. Lindos town an absolute must ! Con's ..... Pay room tax on arrival. €21 for a 7 night stay. Air con €10 per week. Safe box (in reception) approx €25 per week. A few younger groups here both male and female. Slightly loud at times but we've all been there haven't we ? Don't worry about the main road. The hotel is in its own grounds and traffic noise is minimal. Would we return ..... definitely yes. That's all folks, enjoy your stay. Review from a 61 and 50 yr old married couple.

price quality ratio very good. the first night the bed was shocking and the air conditioner made a lot of noise, the toilet also didn't work, but since we arrived in the middle of the night we couldn't complain right away. in the morning we told about these shortcomings and we immediately got a new and bigger room, where everything was in order. the hotel's pool area is quiet and the location is good. walking distance to the beach and town. the staff is super friendly, but the food at the pool is not very good, you should go to eat elsewhere. all in all a good hotel anyway

Excellent little place, great value for money, the staff are so lovely. Cracking little resteraunt, great pool plus if you want it to be a little quieter then it's a winner. 10 minute walk to the main busy street in town and reception is open 24hrs.

10/10 for me. A home away from home. Beautiful garden area surrounding the pool which I absolutely adore! Perfect if you want a quieter part of the island and time to relax. Hotel rooms are spacious and our balcony was perfect for meditation. Lovely staff, really welcoming and friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. Its our second year and I will come back again and again.

There are several good reasons for choosing this hotel. First of all is location. Achousa is located about 20 minutes walk away from the centre of Faliraki, which means it has a very peaceful setting, away from the raucous hub-bub of town. The circadas provide a white noise to set a meditative peace to the pool, which is great place to completely chill out, without the intensity that the factory hotels on the water front can have. There were a small number of children at the hotel, so children playing nicely was part of the ambience and not a distraction. The hotel is also about 20 mins water from Ladiko beach, which has amazing snorkelling fish life, and is next to Antony Quinn bay, which together could be the best beach spots on the island. Certainly the boat stops love these two coves. (I would also recommend the fruit seller lady just before the car park at Ladiko). Achousa is also on the bus route to Rhodes town, the Water Park and Lindos, so that makes most of the main visitor attractions on the island easily accessible from the hotel. The bus stops on both sides of the road are immediately outside the hotel. If you choose to get a hire car, there is parking available. I found reception really helpful in organising a hire, which I was pleased I could get delivered to the hotel. Steve who runs the breakfast pool bar is the main friendly face of the hotel and probably the person that other reviewers say is so friendly, he is a key positive to the running of the hotel, along with the young lady who runs the open air bar. However, there are some key reasons why you may not want to chose this hotel. There are maintenance issues all over the hotel, which indicates whoever owns it, they are not attending to the upkeep. Air conditioning costs extra (E35 per week) and you really need it, because without it our room was 38oC and was like a torture chamber. The air conditioning was old and worked as well as a 90 yr old on a zimmer frame, reducing the room temperature at night to 28oC which was just adequate. Most rooms face inland towards the pool which are quiet, but our room faced towards the main road which meant a lot of traffic noise if we left the patio doors open. It was quiet enough with the doors closed, but that turned the room into a greenhouse of heat. Our toilet flush broke during our stay, and the taps were so old, the children could not turn them on. The small kitchen cold tap ran boiling hot initially. The toilets in reception were missing toilet seats and soap in the wash basins. We also never worked out how to lock our room, but the cleaners were able to. Personally I found minimum standards were not being achieved in the maintenance in many regards, that I was disappointed. The cleaners did a great job every day though. Would I recommend? Yes, certainly for the calm setting and location, but only if you go with your eyes open about the maintenance issues. I would not go again.
