Kouros Home Hotel

We stayed as a family, 3 couples aged +/- 50 for 7 nights in May 2024. Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms with their small swimming pool, on that side nothing to complain about except water problems, almost impossible to shower for 3 days. The worst, when we arrived I was told at reception that there was a problem with my credit card and asked me to pay them the money into their bank account, which I did (namely that I could not see the details of my credit card perhaps because I was abroad?) Back in Belgium I noticed that the reservation had been paid via my credit card so I paid them twice for our stay. I sent them 3 emails and no response, I returned to Rhodes 2 months later so I went to reception (3 days in a row) and there was no way of seeing a manager, the employee told me that it was a company that managed it so again emails AND NOTHING NOTHING THEY ARE DISHONEST Devos Family - Marche de Belgique

We had booked the "Kouros Home", for which the review now follows, the "Kouros Exclusive" was on the other side of the street. The hotel is located at the quiet, southern end of Faliraki. If you want hustle and bustle and mass tourism, this is the wrong place for you. The center of Faliraki with its many shops, restaurants and activities can be easily reached in about 20 minutes on foot. In the immediate vicinity and on the way to the center, whether by the water or along the street, there are other restaurants and shops. So you are not in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is very stylish due to its individual construction, but unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. With only 14 rooms in total, the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere. There are also no crowds at the pool or at breakfast. The breakfast, which is wonderfully served in the small open restaurant by the pool, is perfectly adequate for a 3*** hotel. Omelettes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and pancakes are also freshly prepared to order. The rooms are uniquely designed, with a large, comfortable bed, air conditioning, TV, very individual "furniture" and a bathroom with an open shower. The only slight signs of wear and tear were in the way the bathroom door worked. The balcony is furnished, has a beautiful sea view on the top floor and, what we always find very fitting - a clothes rack. This means you don't always have to hang your swimwear and towels over the parapet. The free fridge and safe are also to be praised, although in many places, even in higher-priced hotels, they still incur extra costs. The music from the evening program at the Kouros Exclusive across the street was, as already described in another review, quite loud until midnight. But we didn't find it that disturbing and you could always go to the balcony on the quiet side. For those who want to explore the area and the island further, a vehicle is recommended, which can easily be booked at reception. All in all, a completely different hotel and highly recommended!
