Well, what can I say, arrived back home a few days ago from an absolutely stunning holiday at these apartments in Rhodes. First of all, they are spotless, not just clean but absolutely sparkling. The lovely lady who serviced the rooms worked tirelessly and was very friendly and chatty. The rooms are a very good size with excellent air conditioning (temp outside was 37) and had a great fully equiped kitchen with every appliance you could possibly need and a huge fridge freezer. The pool and area around it was sublime. A lovely citrus fruit orchard at one end and a lush green lawn to one side, which was cut with little roomba style automatic lawnmowers, kids were fascinated.. The pool itself was spotless too and deep enough for a proper swim if you wanted to. With only 20 appartments, the pool was very quiet, and indeed, on a couple of afternoons we had it to ourselves. The location of the apartments was a rather nice bonus. They are down a private drive, a little away from the road, so were pretty quiet being away from bars and restaurants. At the top of the drive, very conveniently, is a bus stop (F11 if you look on Google maps). This was absolutely brilliant as it allowed you to go into Rhodes town in under 15 mins or go to the waterpark in about 20 mins (bus stop other side of the road (F12) for under 3 Euros per adult. The buses run every 20 minutes in both directions until about midnight. Save you money as you don't really need to bother with taxis. We caught the bus to Lindos for 5.50 each way (taxi is 62) and Butterfly valley (2.50 bus into Rhodes town, then a connection for 5.00.) All the restaurants around the hotel are really great, we never had a bad meal out. Ouzokamomata Greek Tapas did some incredible grills, Christos Family Taverna did lovely authentic salads and fresh made pizzas, and the Tsampis & family bakery did great filled sandwiches, cakes and coffee. Thanks again to this wonderful family run hotel who were always friendly and couldn't be more helpful when I asked for anything. Our pickup on our last day wasn't until 8.30pm at night, but the lovely owner said we could stay in the room at no charge until we left. I can definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here next time I came to Rhodes.

We stayed here for a week mid-October. It was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We had a fantastic very relaxing break and loved it so much we've booked to come back next year. The bus stops for Rhodes Town and Lindos are nearby. There is a supermarket at the end of the drive and a fabulous fruit shop opposite, which also sells amazing pasta sauces and olive oil. We ate several times at the Greek Tapas restaurant close to the apartments. They have an extensive menu, the food is great and the service outstanding

We chose this lovely hotel because we wanted good self catering facilities and peace and quiet. We were not disappointed. We had a large room on the ground floor with a patio overlooking the pool. The room was well appointed and the air conditioning worked very well, although we didn't really need it very much. Sunbeds around the pool area were plentiful and very comfortable. Pool water was a nice temperature. The kitchen had a good size fridge freezer, two ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, a few pans and plenty of crockery and cutlery (including nice sharp knives!). There was a clothes airer on the patio complete with pegs. Seating for eating was on the patio which was nice but on a couple of cooler, windy evenings, it might have been nice to be able to eat inside, particularly in view of the fact that you are in close proximity to neighbouring apartments and if your neighbours were smoking, this made it unpleasant to be eating out there. The pool area was very relaxing and the main attraction for me was that no intrusive "background" music was played. The hotel has no bar, but this just added to the peace and quiet. We knew before travelling that this location was very small and that there wasn't much there, but our only disappointment and the thing that would stop us returning is that there was even less than we thought. The bar choices were pretty much limited to the sports bar next door which wasn't to our taste, or the Parrot Bar a couple of minutes away - which was OK but the same bar 10 nights on the trot became a bit boring. With hindsight, it would have helped if we had rented a car but we had opted not to do this in advance and it wasn't an option once we got there. The beach is a short walk away and there is an arrangement with the hotel next door that you can walk across their property via a gate as a short cut. There is nowhere to sit on the beach if you don't want to rent a sunbed and umbrella and these are tightly packed together. We did walk along to the beach near the Eden Roc resort one afternoon which was pleasant enough but again, very little space without renting a sunbed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel but do be aware that the location is pretty isolated.

Absolutely lovely little hotel. Quiet and peaceful. A great base to get to Rhodes town. Savvas can't do enough for you and we had a lovely time. The local bars and restaurants are great too. There's not a huge amount of local stuff but what there is, is excellent. Highly recommend Stavros Melathron.

These apartments were probably once at the top end of self catering accommodation but are now sadly in need of refreshment. I'm OK with them looking a little dated but they are thoroughly worn out. It seems that only what the owner has deemed essential has been replaced or updated. We had to take turns to use the one breakfast bowl and had to wash up under running water as there was no plug in the sink. That aside, the pool and grounds were well kept and everyone was pleasant and friendly.

Last day of a 10 day holiday here at Stavros Melathron. The studios are so well equipped with everything you could ever need. Air con is fabulously cool, 35°C most days. The rooms were spotlessly clean and cleaned everyday by the wonderful Daniela who smiled everyday and said hello. Savvas, the owner/manager could not be more helpful and was a font of knowledge for anything we needed. Some great days out, days by the pool and beach days. I can't recommend this place enough, thank you to all of you for making this a great holiday for us. Garry, sam, Jake and Harriet. 😀

Beautiful, relaxing, spotless and quiet. Just returned from a week’s stay and loved it. Rooms were a decent size, well equipped and very clean, We have a family of 5 (3 not-so-young kids anymore!) and booked a pair of studio apartments. Pool area was never overcrowded. Always loungers to be had and the grounds were well kept. Owners were so helpful and as we had a late checkout we got to keep one of the rooms until the evening and enjoyed a final relaxing day instead of dragging luggage around while waiting for a transfer. The only slight difficulty we had was transport. Five do not fit well in most taxis, so randomly flagging down cars doesn’t work, taxi phone numbers seemed to mostly end up with automated messages in Greek (sorry, I know, I should’ve learned the language) followed by hold music that never picked up. Busses in Rhodes direction are mostly full and despite running every 20 minutes it can take an hour standing in 35+ degrees before one stops. So if you’re in a larger party and want to explore, I’d highly recommend a hire car. Locally there are a handful of restaurants ranging from average to exceptional and a couple of bars. Perfect for us but others may want more choice and nightlife.

Great chilled out break at these apartments. The pool area is absolutely spotless as are the rooms. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and also a bakery that does takeaway baguettes and coffee. Large rooms with everything that you need including a large fridge freezer. There are also a couple of nice restaurants up in the village of Koskinou which is half hour walk or 10 minute drive. The owner Savvas is very easy to deal with for taxis and recommendations. All in all a great break in these lovely apartments.
