The most tired and worn hotel I’ve stayed in for years, with ingrained dirt in both my room and the public shower room — which also had no lock, along with every public toilet on site. Cleanliness was the main concern, but the lack of atmosphere and other issues didn’t help, although the night receptionist was very helpful. Don’t be fooled by photos of marble-look walls or quality tiles; the worst stains were by the toilet roll holder and toilet wall, and the bathroom floor still looked dirty after cleaning. Also, the sunbed photo, that's dirt, not because it's wet. A nearby 2-star, Hillside Studios, was far better — and had aircon in the dining room, unlike Aloe, where only the reception is air-conditioned.

Would never go back, me and my partner are just back from staying at the slow hotel for 8 nights. On arrival we were put in a different room for 1 night only and then told to check out again tomorrow and they’ll let us know when our usual room is ready, on arrival into the room there were 100s of ants, I informed the staff and they informed me it was because of a drink being spilt (this also shows me the lack of cleaning prior to new customers arriving) after informing reception they told us there were no other rooms available, I had no other option other than to stay elsewhere, which we did. The receptionist informed us he was “upgrading us” for the night however this was no upgrade although we didn’t stay in this room if we did we wouldn’t have been able to settle or unpack etc. Returned next day and our normal room was ready, much smaller than photos, cheaply made. There is a big hill coming up to the hotel, not fun. There is lack of space for hanging or putting clothes. Bathroom was badly situated in our room. I was bit terribly by insects. The pool stairs both of them were unstable and very wobbly, not safe. I sat on the side of the pool and the paint came off onto my skin and I had to scrub it off. The jacuzzi small pool was out of bounds for at least 2 days of our holiday because it was being painted. The sunbeds were comfy however was hard to get one unless you were awake super early. Not enough sunbeds in my opinion, the breakfast wasn’t very nice warm milk with my cereal, didn’t touch the hot food as it looked horrible. Lunch was nice. Some of the staff were nice and pleasant but others not so much. Cocktails weren’t very cheap by the pool. Overall, we would never come back to Greece we were terribly upset and disappointed by this hotel. Definitely not a 4 star. It looked very aesthetically pleasing on the photographs however please don’t be fooled by this.

We had a lovely end of summer break here! We used Jet2 to get a great deal and this hotel was excellent value for money. The staff are lovely and really helpful! We had breakfast included and this was a nice typical buffet, and we found the pay-as-you-go drinks, lunch and dinner options really tasty and not too expensive. We were most impressed by their handling of late flights/check-out - our flight home was after midnight and they had another booking checking into our room so we weren’t able to check out late. If they can’t provide a late check-out they store your luggage and allow you to book a private shower room free-of-charge, with mirrors and sinks to freshen up after spending your day at the pool or out and about. This was really helpful and allowed us to get the most out of our last day rather than sitting around with suitcases :) The location of the hotel is also quite ideal with lots of restaurants and shops nearby, as it’s a walkable distance from Faliraki. We also spent a day in Rhodes which isn’t too far in a taxi. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Honestly this hotel wasn’t what I expected, we arrived at the night and the room balcony door was wide open so it was full of bugs and flys. So we asked to change rooms which they told us that all rooms were like that? The room overall pretty basic, could do with a freshen up The pool could do with a make over but the staff at the pool were lovely and the food there was really good. The hotel is on top of a hill about a 10 minute walk into everything, so in the heat it’s hard to do

We are just back from a 7 night stay in aloe, we have no complaints it was amazing from the service from the staff, the location, hygiene and the food! The receptionist was extremely helpful with booking transport for us at all times! Aloe is in a perfect location for a walk into faliraki, only 10 minutes and to the beach also! Sun loungers fill up quickly but if you wait 5-10 minutes very easy to get one!! Would 100% recommend

I rely on Tripadvisor reviews before booking a hotel so wanted to provide a full and honest review of our experience at this hotel to hopefully help someone else… Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay for a romantic couples holiday as I feel that’s what this is best suited for. In depth… Location: I personally really liked the location of this hotel. It was a 5-10 minute walk from the main streets so easy to access shops and stuff going on but far enough out the way that it was peaceful in the hotel. The only thing to consider is that the short street the hotel is on is on a steep incline so something to consider for people who struggle to get around. Staff: All the staff we encountered were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The women at the front desk answered all our questions and were very happy to help. The servers were also brilliant. We particularly thought the young waitress in the evenings was amazing, she had the nicest personality and is incredible at her job. Food: We loved the food here and I would really recommend going half board for a short stay. We loved that it was table service rather than buffet style as it made it feel a bit more special each night and the food was really tasty each night. Rooms: We were happy with our room, nice and small but plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge, balcony etc. The downside was the bathroom which I feel probably needs some attention. Not enough to not recommend the hotel but I think it needs to be addressed. You can tell the bathroom has been designed in a modern way but in reality it hasn’t worked… the white walls showed up grime in the shower and splashes around the toilet. The overhead shower head didn’t really work so we relied on the small shower head and the silicone around the shower glass was quite messy. As I said, not a put off, but something to address. Atmosphere: The atmosphere of this hotel is peaceful and chilled. There is chilled lounge style music on throughout the day and evening which we enjoyed but there is no entertainment. This didn’t bother us as we enjoyed the chilled environment and just went out if we wanted something to do but for a longer holiday, I would probably go for somewhere with something going on in the evenings. Other facilities: The pool was a nice area to chill and there’s also a jacuzzi pool. The loungers were really comfy although they were quickly ‘reserved’ every morning which I don’t agree with. There is a bar open throughout the day and you can also order lunch for around the pool. On leaving day, there is a luggage store and a shower room to use after check out which was very helpful. Other helpful information: There were multiple supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. The bus stops were about 5 minutes away which can take you to Rhodes. Beach is about 15 - 20 minute walk away.

Just returned from a 7 night stay in Aloe hotel. We came to Greece as my boyfriends 30th birthday gift and we were very excited for our trip. From start to finish we had an excellent experience here and would highly recommend it. Our transfer from the airport was a quick 30mins (bare in mind we were dropping others off so it would be faster in a private trasnfer). We arrived just at 3pm so could check in straight away. The girl on reception was very friendly, we were charged a €10 per night tourist tax so €70. I was prepared for this as its common on alot of holidays we've been on but be prepared for that. I was initially worried because our room (as mist of the rooms are) was right next to the pool/main reception/main traffic area and I thought it would be very loud at night giving that faliraki has a reputation as a party town. The first night I did find it a bit noisy but after that noise was never an issues and we were never kept awake. Anytime you go by reception you are met with a friendly hello, help is always there is needed for anything like booking taxis/help with the bus timetable etc. The pool is a very nice area and there was no line at 9am to fight for sunbeds there was enough to go around and they had large cushions, very comfortable. The pool and pool area is kept meticulously clean by a nice man. Our room was nice, my only tiny complain is that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, very comfortable pillows and fresh linens and towels Daily. We (I) was told at check in that of towels are stained from tan and makeup that there would be an extra charge, I found this to be fair but as I wasn't using tan we were not charged- again something to be aware of. There was a smell in the shower but I found if you left it running for few minutes before you get in it goes away. You cannot flush toilet paper - that is standard in Greece. We had a nice little balcony and well working AC. We could not figure out how to work the safe and the hairdryer was broken but we often left our passports/jewellery/electronics out in view and never had any issue, housekeeping staff were very lovely too. The food at the hotel bar is very nice and so are the drinks as well as the staff being very nice. Highly recommended the club sandwich. The hotel itself is on top of a big hill which wasn't an issue for us but may be for someone of reduced mobility- saying that it was mainly young couples and groups staying here. Faliraki is about 7-10mins walk away with a selection or shops/bars/restaurants and the beach all within walking distance. There are also scooters to rent through Hoppy on top of the hill we started using these about halfway into to trip and wished we'd done it sooner- don't be scared to use them. Cats are all over the place but never really bothersome. You can get the bus at the end of the road to Rhodes old town which we also really enjoyed, much cheaper than a taxi. We checked out at 1030 and we're collected at 11 but at the same time anothe
