First time kesini..seluruh stafnya ramah, kamar bersih, AC dingin, hot shower 24 jam, kolam renang (hingga jam17.00wib), ada restoran, bakery, plus liat peternakan sapi perah, kebun palawija seluas 10 hektar yuhuu..

The garden is nice. However the rest of the accomodation is outdated and tailored for group holidays. There are 51 rooms and there is a large dining facility. The big swimming pool has 6 chairs for about 100 guests! WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms. There was no soap. It is very noisy. Besides mosques sounds you also hear train sounds. Staff was business like.

I stayed 1 night in this resort, and it is O.K. but I would not stay longer. Rooms are big and spacious but very spartan. The resort has come into the years and needs renovation. Service as usual in Java very, very nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant is average. The swimming pool is large and nice. The garden and surroundings are beautiful.

For two days a stopover in East Java, before crossing to Bali. Arrived in Kalibaru .. our place of residence the "Margot Utomo Eco Resort". Margot Utomo is not the name of the owner, but means something like big gate. This resort was built around 1975 by a plantation owner in a period of malaise in the agricultural sector. With the resort he wanted to spread his risks. A few kilometers away is a t****e resort of the same company. The resort where we stayed has an attractively built lobby with seating. Opposite it a beautiful open pavilion, with a roof that rests on large columns. We ate here excellently, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Linen tablecloth, linen napkins .. come here for that in the tropics. Large swimming pool. Linked bungalows, each with veranda and seating. Spacious high room, simple bathroom with everything you need. Excellent working wifi in lobby, bungalows and restaurant. The gardens, or rather the park, are beautiful and well maintained. If you are lounging on the veranda you imagine yourself in an Indian novel by Couperus. Outside the resort a few mosques .. the multiple calls to prayer are clearly audible. We did not find it disturbing at all. After all, you are a guest of account in the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. What a nice place .. Margot Utomo Eco Resort!

Very poorly maintained rooms, cracks in the plaster everywhere, mold in the bathroom, bad beds, heavily rusted towel rack, dirty toilet. Breakfast and dinner options are limited but good. Nothing to do in the area.

We stayed one night. The spacious room was moderately clean and needs to be renovated. Not much choice for breakfast but it's good. Too bad because the place is nice with a beautiful and well-kept garden, large swimming pool. That's what we remember.
