Gardenia Country Inn

beautiful garden and view at volcano, but overpriced and in many ways not up to standard anymore: no reception, no information at arrival, no management around, friendly staff, very poor restaurant, no choice of drinks (soft or other) available, no choice of meals, dirty bed sheets, too noisy at night (disco, loud music almost all night, traffic) due to bungalow at farthest corner of garden, ants in bungalow, others had to clean their floor themselves before first entry, no mosquito protection offered e.g. nets, incense spiral, etc. , small plastic bottles instead of refill water system, relatively poor breakfast buffet due to not enough refill-service according to number of guests, first possible breakfast time too late for excursions, not enough staff in kitchen

Very attentive staff, plentiful & lovely outside dining, fabulous carefully attended gardens, many plants with labels, comfortable spacious rooms, delicious food, loved the special touches - fresh flowers in the room- especially gardenias in the bathroom. Homemade jams at breakfast & homemade macaroons in the room. Recommend at least 2 nights to fully enjoy your surroundings. Nice birds in the garden too.

We had a group of 24 going to Siladen Island. Seven folks stopped at the Gardenia Country Inn prior to Siladen for a few days to adjust to time zones, and 11 folks (2 repeats) stayed there for two nights after Siladen to relax, offgas, and see the sights. WE picked Siladen because two of our group had been there a few years a go and raved about it. We enjoyed our stays very much. Working with guest manager Leslie was fabulous; he was easy to communicate with on WhatsApp, answered all of our questions fully, and offered good advice. He made our travel arrangements to and from the airport and Sialaden, in cooperation with the Siladen folks. All very easy and smooth. Food was very good, but a bit limited in choices. For just a couple of days, no problem, but over, say, a week it would have been repetitious. The only alcoholic drinks were beer...no wine or hard liquor. Accommodations were very comfortable, but there was no air conditioning. We asked for a fan for the room, and Leslie went into town and bought one for us. Great service! The air conditioning was not needed my most in our group, but my wife and I are wusses. The grounds and gardens of the the Inn and the views are superlative. It is, indeed, a very relaxing place. Definitely recommended.

Gardenia is a really amazing place done with good taste. Feel like home. And the Manager named Leslie really care of any details and has a big attention to his customers. Thanks to him as he made our stay with a big plus 👌 The breakfast are made with love And they recommended us a tour guide to climb the volcano Locon. Just perfect !!!
