Cantonese hospitality at its best! The family who runs the place masters the art of taking care of their guests. We posses a limited Chinese vocabulary, but with the help of a translation app, and their eagerness to make us feel at home, we had a great time. The rooms are spacious and clean, we travel a lot and this was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while being in China. All amenities are supplied (including a snack box in the room!) and everyone has been helpful in ensuring we had all we needed. Breakfast was generous with many local dishes, ones we, as foreigners, most likely wouldn’t have tried on our own. The location is very convenient; Zilicun entrance is a 8 min walk. You can easily spend the whole morning in Zilicun to enjoy the scenery before it gets too hot. Afterwards we came back to enjoy lunch at the homestay - the restaurant serves tasty food. In the evening the scenery is stunning, a lot of effort has been put in landscaping the garden and the towns main buildings are perfectly illuminated. The family’s generosity, together with the facilities and the cosy performances at night made our stay very special. Thank you again!

Take the shuttle bus to the luggage storage at the innermost of the North Gate parking lot, and check in at the Drama Hotel. There are so many people that the two guys are a little busy, but their attitudes are very good. Staying at Huaxin Hotel, it is spacious, clean and comfortable; the room near the river does have rehearsal sound at night, but it ended at 10 o'clock on the day of check-in, which is acceptable. The hotel is located in the center of the ancient town. Pay attention to the ”Chikan Resort Guide” applet, real-time positioning, route navigation, and it is very convenient to watch performances and go to scenic spots. There are different packages for booking hotels on different websites. Ctrip's booking gave away the dress-up experience of the photo studio that year, which is worth the money. My mother was very happy to take pictures. It happened to rain and cool down, so the free cruise ticket was not used, otherwise it would be boating on the river, full of ancient charm and interesting. There are many snacks in the scenic area, but it is not open during breakfast. I ate the most delicious fish ball noodles at Meitang Xianyi Restaurant. Although there are not many varieties, the taste is super good, yogurt juice salad meat buns, full of happiness. The overall experience is very good. It is very convenient to store luggage and wait for the bus in Meitang, and the service is also good. If you want to watch performances and explore the ancient town, come to Chikan!

古鎮的氛圍很好，新年期間雖然很多人，但很熱鬧，這才是新年！渡假村內有很多特備節目和表演，大人細路都玩得很高興，煙花秀必看！噹噹車上層80元下層50元一位，個人覺得有點貴。我住戲劇酒店露台房，在陽台上便能看到樓下的街景和感受到熱鬧氣氛，很是不錯！如果喜歡拍照打卡的，早上早點起床，八點以前也是沒人的，任拍！停車場離園區入口有點遠，拿著大包小包有點重，不太方便。

The hotel room is very clean, the pillows are very comfortable, and the location is on the edge of the scenic area, but the scenic area is not big, so it doesn't have much impact. Because I live in the scenic area, I can arrange the evening schedule very easily. After watching the wonderful sparks, I can slowly enjoy the night view of the scenic area. The only poor experience is the shuttle bus arranged by the scenic area. When there are a lot of luggage, they can't lend a hand to help put it down, or guide to put the luggage down. It is indeed a bit lacking in human touch. Although it is a commercial scenic spot, adding a little humanistic care may attract more repeat customers😏
