Yueheju Guesthouse

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I went back to Yueshan's hometown to eat Dragon Boat Festival. I found that the rating of Yueheju Inn was a few high on Trip.com. I found that the real environment is the same as the online pictures. The environment is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the supplies are high-end, especially the capsule coffee machine is loved by my daughter.
Meitang Hotel

This should be the best hotel in Chikan Ancient Town. The location, design and rooms are all very good. In terms of hardware alone, it should be the first choice for vacation in the ancient town. However, it must be pointed out that the service still needs to be improved and does not fully match the hardware. Among them, the front desk, waiters and room attendants are polite and the service is online. The WeChat service has some flaws, but considering the large number of people during the National Day, it is acceptable. What makes people feel unhappy is the dinner time in the restaurant. When asking if there is a seat, the girl at the front desk of the restaurant only said coldly with a dark face: Go inside and ask the manager. (Lack of basic guidance and politeness, the point is that there is a big gap compared with the service in other links of the hotel) But objectively speaking, there is no problem with the breakfast service, the guidance is clear, the cleaning is timely, and the variety and taste of the food are also satisfactory. Service is a difficult problem after all. I hope Meitang can do better.
Kaiping Honglou Watchtower Topic Hotel

The road is hard to find. It is recommended to stay here when traveling by car. The house was built in 1933 and has a very Republican atmosphere. You can also rent clothes to take photos on the first floor. The landscaping of the courtyard is also great. It is very hygienic and you can tell that the aunt is very attentive to maintaining it. We arrived very late, and the aunt would reply promptly and pick us up. If we get up late, my aunt will leave breakfast until very late for us to get up to eat. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so just make sure you use mosquito repellent. The aunt will also help you light mosquito coils and there are electric mosquito swatters. Auntie is very familiar with the plants, landscapes, and architecture of the watchtowers. Overall, it was a great experience.
Kaiping Tangxin Hotel (Kaiping Yulou Branch)

Special surprise! Having such a cheap and good-quality hotel in Kaiping exceeds expectations! It was dark at night at the entrance of the village, but when you drove in, you felt like you were in a different place. It was very lively. Unexpectedly, there were many fireworks on the seventh day of the ***** New Year. The children watched the fireworks tubes as big as bedside tables set off by wealthy people up close, and the night sky was bright! Our family had a fun night! Breakfast is a small buffet, including chee cheong fun, white porridge with pickled mustard, steamed corn and sweet potatoes, sausages, fried chicken nuggets, eggs, leek dumplings, corn dumplings, walnut buns, baby cabbage in soup, and the best thing is the glutinous rice chicken. The brown sugar cake and soy milk are also delicious, and you can also ask the chef to make noodles. The hotel staff has a good service attitude! It's a pity that it was cloudy the next day and felt a bit cold. I hope that next time I see Tangkou, it will be more large-scale and the surrounding environment will be cleaner and tidier (the interior of the hotel is very clean and tidy)!
Floral Luxury Fifty-third Degree Zhuxia Homestay (Kaiping Diaolou Branch)

Cantonese hospitality at its best! The family who runs the place masters the art of taking care of their guests. We posses a limited Chinese vocabulary, but with the help of a translation app, and their eagerness to make us feel at home, we had a great time. The rooms are spacious and clean, we travel a lot and this was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while being in China. All amenities are supplied (including a snack box in the room!) and everyone has been helpful in ensuring we had all we needed. Breakfast was generous with many local dishes, ones we, as foreigners, most likely wouldn’t have tried on our own. The location is very convenient; Zilicun entrance is a 8 min walk. You can easily spend the whole morning in Zilicun to enjoy the scenery before it gets too hot. Afterwards we came back to enjoy lunch at the homestay - the restaurant serves tasty food. In the evening the scenery is stunning, a lot of effort has been put in landscaping the garden and the towns main buildings are perfectly illuminated. The family’s generosity, together with the facilities and the cosy performances at night made our stay very special. Thank you again!

Fortunately, the shower in the bathroom is not very good, and the TV is not good.
