I want to give a shout out to Jessica from the corporate office, and Hope from Castle Kona Bali Kai in Kona Hawaii!! They saved our entire trip!! They got my family not 1, but 2 beautiful rooms facing the ocean!! The bathrooms were amazing, the rooms spacious with beautiful views, the kitchens were amazing!! I have already voiced my pleasure with this place to many of my friends and family! We will definitely stay here again!! Thank you again for making the last few days of our stay wonderful at this resort!!

Condo 425 building 1&2 This property is confusing for people. The main condos are in 1&2 while there seems to be 7 buildings to the name. I rented through VRBO ocean front condo and it was amazing! I could not of been happier. Just make sure you know what you are booking. We encountered several people showing up to this building when they were really across the street.

This place was disgusting! Very dirty and old! And unsafe!!!! Management is a joke! They don’t care for the people and are extremely rude and disrespectful! Would NEVER recommend this to anyone! There are so many other places to stay than this arm pit!

Old and dirty! Not safe!!!! Very rude and disrespectful management!!! Would never recommend to anyone!!!! Horrible experience here. No one deserves to be disrespected the way they treat people here! Better places to stay than here!

Pretty much what's in the title. I am a 100% disabled veteran, I bought my first home here, I live peacefully and quietly in unit #134. Recently I had an issue with a very loud neighbor upstairs, I talked to them about keeping it down, and when they didn't they called the site manager on me for banging and trying to get them to keep it down. The site manager took their side without speaking to me, and since then he has come by my condo several times to knock and aggressively threaten me with fines and getting kicked out. Because I have severe disabilities and smoke ********* in my own home. My hope is that someone feels sympathy for me and helps me get this bully taken out of his position of power, but at the very least, for the love of god, don't stay here. Don't give these people money until they fix this. Thanks for your time, sorry about the wall of text.

We loved our two month stay in unit 316 of the Vacasa Kona Bali Kai. This is a one bedroom apartment with a sleeper sofa in the livingroom. The lanai and oceanfront view was wonderful and all that we hoped for. It is very hard to keep oceanfront units clean. We used separate sandals for the lanai and wiped our feet upon entry, but we still had to mop the floor several times a week. I purchased lots of items to make the unit more complete, including floor mats, organizers for bathroom items, pot holders, placemats, a Britta filter, can opener and hangars. If you've never been to Kona, please understand that there are few sandy beaches and this building is on a very busy, narrow road. Walking is difficult. Pretty much need to rent a car and drive to beaches, Despite my caveats, I'm in love with this area.

Travelers beware, don't waste your time and money on this place! My mom set up a 5 night stay through air bnb for one of these units. We requested an early check in and were unable to enter the unit with the keypad code provided. The person at the front desk was very unhelpful and rude, and just told us to contact our "host". Then we sat outside with all of our belongings and food for about an hour in the kona heat and humidity while trying to contact the host to find out why. Apparently a different code is needed for early check in, which was not provided for us. Finally we get into the unit and things seem to be okay. The place did seem a bit outdated on some things but hey, no big deal right? The single AC unit was very loud and dripped all over the balcony leaving puddles of dirty water everywhere. The smaller bedroom got very hot at night unless you left the door open to let the AC in, despite the ceiling fan. There was about 5 - 7 minutes of hot water in the shared bathroom shower all 3 times I used it. On our 3rd day there, Tuesday, after we had just spent 5 hours on a boat, we returned to the unit sunburned, tired, and hungry only to find we had NO POWER!!! The rest of the building still had working electricity. Here we go again, jumping through hoops trying to contact the host and waiting for maintenance people and still getting no help from the front desk. Turns out the owners of this unit LITERALLY just changed hands and the previous owners shut off the electricity. The "host" told us that power would not be restored for SEVERAL DAYS!! And instead of finding us a new place to stay we were told to "just look on air bnb". So now we have to pack up all our stuff and find another place on our own. So much for their guarantee. Not to mention most of the food we had purchased had to be thrown out since we couldn't cook and the fridge was not working. The "host" then went on to tell us they would only refund the nights we were unable to stay. WHAT A F*****G JOKE!!! This is no way to do business. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures, the hassle is just not worth it. If I could give them -5 stars, I would. (Unit 314)

Easy check in and check out. Clean rooms, amazing views. Wish there was AC but the evening breeze made it okay. We loved the in room washer and dryer. The location was amazing. The pool was small and the hot tub tiny but we spend most of the time in the ocean. We watched turtles and yellow tangs from our balcony!

This resort like most on the ocean side of Kona is older, however it is well maintained and away fom the busy downtown area. Our one bedroom condo 313 has lanais off both bedroom and living room, which was spectacular. The unit itself has newer furnishings ,if a little spartan ,but need some updating of appliances and cupboards. The kitchen is pretty well equiped .On arrival we found both lanai screen doors were broken and also the front door screen had a broken lock.We spoke to Stephen the maintainence man and he fixed everything very promptly. We enjoyed our stay here ,for two people who like to cook it was great . There is no AC but the fans are good except mid afternoon when AC would have been nice.
