Club Wyndham Royal Sea Cliff

This is a great location, very close to restaurants and shopping. Our 2 bedroom unit was very nice. Very functional kitchen. Beds were great with nice quality linens. The building is right in the ocean, and as with most areas on this island there is no beach… just beautiful surf splashed volcanic rock, with 2 pools. There is a small beach and park about 1 mile down the road, with showers and restrooms. The building was quiet with private parking. The only down side, as others have noted, once you turn down the offers to have you join Club Wyndham, some of the staff are less than friendly . But overall a very good experience, If we were interested this is a great place. We might even return through their condo rental program.

We own a Wyndham timeshare, so if these guys are annoying to me I can just imagine how much they pester all their guests. Stay away from aggressive Sean in particular. If possible, get the two-room suite #610; it’s perfectly situated with a constant view of the waves crashing on the shore behind the family pool. It’s both soothing and exhilarating at the same time. Endless entertainment from the largest outdoor deck I’ve ever seen. There’s also a lot of space between the two rooms, creating a secluded feel. Amenities are sparse; the TV is sad, and not “smart” so no using your own apps and casting are unavailable. Also, there are two vending machines on the property, which is not enough in my opinion. The toiletries include really good body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, in large, refillable containers. The kitchen is very usable, so save money and prepare some/most of your meals on site; you can/should bring your own food and utensils to create added convenience. Take advantage of a nearby Safeway for your grocery needs, because the property is far away from any useful conveniences. The staff is great; very polite, friendly, and helpful. There are some items they lend out, like noodles, boogie boards, and beach chairs, which was an added perk. This was my third time here, and I have had a great time every time.

It’s a very nice resort, within walking distance (20 mins) from downtown Kona. Like a lot of properties over in Hawaii it could do with an update. Room was nice with an Ocean view. There is no pool bar at the resort. Bathroom towels are like sandpaper. Parking is good mostly covers. One negative was the constant hounding to go to the timeshare presentation. We finally went and did not buy (already owners). They got upset at us. I would recommend this property

Liked it even though it is a mixed use property. They have full time people living there and so it doesn't have all the activities most resorts do but was still great. They do have a quiet pool that we enjoyed a lot.

Our favorite Kona property. Clean and comfortable. Many units with view of water. Nice garden spaces and areas where one can watch the sunset. Nice selection of on-site activities.

Lovely resort in an excellent location. It is a very big resort but you don't feel that due to the way the buildings are oriented. If you go to the Quiet Pool, you are just on the edge next to the ocean. Beaches on Hawaii can be rough, and this one is. But from the pool you have the feeling that you are on the beach. Lots of things to do on the big island and Kona is fun.
