"Best place we’ve stayed in New Zealand!!! Very clean, nice view, amazing amenities and friendly host. The best thing is they have a clean and good hot tub (nice view as well). We wake up with a super nice mountain view and the breakfast is amazing. The host is very nice and let us know about the activities we can do around Kaikoura!! Everything is exactly like the description and images they post👍👍👍"

"This is an outstanding little Motel, with great facilities, but surprisingly Google says that it is a 3 star hotel.No way; it's much better than the 4 star hotel we stayed in the night before. It's a great value hotel, close to the centre of town and railway station. Book it! You'll be glad you did!"

"The landlord is still good, will send their own baked biscuits to customers, very delicious. The breakfast is rich, the lake view is beautiful, the room price is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. There is no kitchen in the room. If you fish in the surrounding sea, you need to go to the restaurant outside."

"Including breakfast, of course not as rich as the hotel, but for B&B, it is already very good The room we booked cannot accommodate an extra bed, but our husband and wife brought children over 4 years old to live well. There is no extra charge for children staying. The room has a small terrace with a nice view The landlord has a dog and a cat, very cute The lodging location is not in the center of the town, but the town itself is not big, so it doesn't matter if you drive. A few hundred meters to the supermarket. Drive 5 minutes to the whale watching and embarkation point."

"Arrived late afternoon..straight into the apartment Was lovely and clean and great facilties. Although we had an accessible room , shower was good. Free laundry facilties a bonus. Location very good. Encounter coffee was just a short walk away and the ocean was in eyesight. Loved Kaikoura even though was just a short stop en route to Nelson. Scenery amazing and Pier restaurant had great seafood. Very calm and serene atmosphere. Mountains in the distance and visiting the seals was lovely."

"There is a park for children to play, and the space is very spacious.  The toilet and kitchen are open and very clean. There are also washing machines and dryers. Go to see the whale meeting place for 8 minutes. Affordable and very satisfied."

"A lovely friendly welcome greeted us after a long drive from Christchurch. Situated just off the main highway, it is easy to find. The suites are a good size, very quiet, well equipped, good shower, and each has an outdoor space over looking a central courtyard. There is a supermarket and a pub serving good food within walking distance. The small charming town is a 2 minute drive away. This is not a beach resort but great for dolphin whale & seal watching. Thoroughly recommend."

"Kaikora hotel was absolutely astonishing from the meals down at the hotel - which I definitely recommend, to the lovely Alexa in the room to give you just the information you need. Sudima hotel had an amazing heated pool with a breathtaking view of the mountains and beach beside. You can save some money if you book directly through the hotel website after subscribing as a Sudima member."
