First of all, got the mountain view outside of your room, don't have to worry about parking! Can access to private beach through the train track. Bed was comfortable! Owner super friendly!

Host was super nice and friendly (forgot to ask for his name 😭), and he personally guided us and taught us how to use the laundry and gave good recommendations around the area!
We stayed in a group of 4 and the motel had everything we needed! Super comfy and clean as well! Would definitely recommend anyone passing by, it’s definitely worth the price.
Only regret was not staying longer! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Morgan and Shirley are great hosts and the room they present was well appointed and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. They were full of information about the area and have a extensive compendium in the room for you to find all the little nuggets that Kaikōura has to offer.
Would definitely stay here again.

Very good location, the mountain just next to it. Beds with heater that was awesome however the toilet have smell and stain.

The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities.
The sound insulation of the non-wooden room is poor.
There is a small door at the back that leads directly to the beach.
It is very convenient to go to the gas station and Hongchao nearby.
It is also close to the whale watching spot.

The one-story bungalow I stayed in looked a little different from the one in the pictures on the homepage. It was cost-effective, spacious, and not far from the supermarket. The beach is just outside the back door and across the railway. The day I left, the clouds were misty and the mountains in the distance were very stunning.
