The reviews were good, and there was a kitchen and sea view. After arriving, I found out that the sea view required extra money (the other rooms all faced the garage and barbecue area), and the kitchen only had an electric kettle and a toaster (the kind that can cook according to the hotel details). Because this was the last trip of our 20-day trip, and there were a lot of ingredients, we specifically wanted to choose a place with a kitchen. After many communications, the old man at the front desk arranged an electric stove and pots and pans for us. I am very grateful.
Because we stayed for two consecutive nights, there were only rooms on the second floor (they said the first floor was full). fine We dragged our luggage and climbed to the second floor. At around 9pm, the kids knocked over two mineral water bottles in the room. Suddenly, a strong white-haired man rushed to our glass door (not the grandfather who helped check in! P.S. This house is just a tin house, and the main door is half aluminum alloy door + half glass window). He knocked hard on the door, saying that we disturbed him, and asked us if we knew how noisy it was, and how many people were there... I explained that we were a family of three and apologized that the kids disturbed him. He interrupted me and said that he had the right to ask us to get out of here immediately, blah blah blah... He said he owned this place... blah blah blah...
It was terrible... I explained again and again that we just made the noise accidentally and would not hit the bottles again, but he was still cursing...
Btw, I don’t know if it’s because we are on the second floor, the bath water is hot and cold!
This is the most terrible experience I encountered in New Zealand for the first time...
