The location of the apartment is excellent, located opposite the Kagoshima Station on the island line (non-JR Kagoshima Central Station), the Sakurajima Port Pier and the Ocean Zoo are close at hand, and the Sakurajima volcano can be seen very clearly. Transportation is not too convenient. The room is large in size, and the decoration is uniquely Japanese-style exquisite, quite simple and clean. Air conditioning, refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen utensils are complete. Three adults and two babies stayed for four days and three nights. It is very convenient and comfortable. It is highly recommended. Fortunately, the night before leaving, I was fortunate to see the Orchid Festival Fire and Fire Conference held in Sakurajima Port. The locals were dressed in costume and came to the city. It was quite lively and atmosphere.
All the staffs were very professional, friendly, helpful and provided detail service. The hotel is very clean, tidy and elegant. the hotel is close to bus stops and tram stations, it takes about 2 minutes walk, very convenient. we had a wonderful time. i highly recommend it to friends who need to stay here.
Very good. The hot spring is good. The facilities are good. Recommend to book this hotel if you want to enjoy quality holiday.

The location is on the quiet side of the road, and it is easy to confuse with Hall 2 not far away. We went to Hall 2 and were told that the reservation was Hall 1. Simply not too far away. Chain hotel management, affordable. Good health, including free breakfast.
The location is superb, room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The room provided all you need on a leisure trip.
The only downside was it was super complicated and time consuming to contact the hostel for entrance pin, check-in procedure and check-in number. We asked the front desk receptionist of our previous hotel to call the hostel number stated on trip.com booking confirmation email in morning, but no one picked up; called again at 3pm, and the hostel hotline said the number was wrong and referred us to call another number. If we did not have the assistance from a Japanese local receptionist from another hotel, I dont think we could get the entrance pin and check-in procedure information smoothly.
I recommend this hostel to Japanese local, or tourists with a Japanese mobile number to make calls/able to find assistance from Japanese local people.
The service level is not up to standard. Although it is a self-service B&B apartment, the procedures such as informing the booking guests one week in advance to pay attention to the email address to receive the login password and other procedures should be in place. However, the management failed to fulfill its obligation to inform in advance. It only sent out an email related to the entrance password one day before check-in. However, the guest was already traveling in Japan and it was difficult to receive the email. As a result, he found that he could not enter the door when he checked in. I only saw the email after rummaging through it. The check-in experience was very poor. The assistance and response from Ctrip customers are timely and efficient. What must be criticized is the apartment management’s practices and concepts!
Small two-story building, a total of five or six rooms, self-check-in, the room is very clean, the equipment is new and complete, very good, will consider staying in the future.
Take a long-distance bus to Kagoshima for one night, the next day to take the ferry, the bus is late, the hotel has been 23:45, the night shift management is still from the lounge to check in intimately, the room space is relatively large, the facilities are complete, clean and tidy, cost-effective, praise
The staff was helpful and speaks english during my stay. The room size is justifiable for the price it was offered. Walking distance to Tenmonkan district.
It was nice that there was a washing machine and a range where you could make simple ramen or other food.

GGuest UserThis is my second time stay. The hotel is very new, rooms are spotlessly clean, great shower, comfortable beddings, high quality service. There is a gym and spa which is good for those who like using the facilities. It’s a bit far from JR though but they provide free shuttle. I haven’t used the shuttle service since we’re driving, so the location is not a problem. Simply liked everything. Highly recommended.
HHong AStayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was lovely. Check in and out was smooth. The hotel is very nice, clean and looks luxurious. Sited right next to Tenmonkan street and 2 min walk to tenmonkan tram station. Donki and Lawson right next door too. Location is very convenient. Room is abit small but we knew this beforehand. Plenty of thoughtful amenities in the room which we really appreciate. Great stay and will come again next time!
GGuest UserExcellent location, in the Kagoshimachuo station. Great price. Decent room, not cramped at all and space to lay out your luggage. Did not order breakfast. There are so many choices outside the hotel.
GGuest UserHotel can be accessed directly from the JR underpass, towards basement of hotel building. Tram station conveniently located in front of hotel. Hotel faces JR Station. Room is cozy with plenty of wall sockets. Good value for money. Room had lovely view of Mt Sakurajima.
AAnonymous UserBest hotel choice for location. Right in the centre of Tenmonkan. Plenty of food options and shopping. Even the airport shuttle stops directly at the hotel front (50m). It is walking distance (20min) to Kagoshima-chuo JR station, but if you choose tram or bus, the stop is also 100m away from the hotel. Setback is only the bath amenities as shaving foam, face wash and lotion is not provided (make sure you bring your own). Public bath is ok, has a sauna which is good. Check-in and out process is fully machine automated with a luggage storage section too at the side. Very easy. Breakfast service staff is very good, only four breakfast set choices if you purchase it as part of your room but quality is very good with local taste. I suggest you try at least once the breakfast if you stay here.
ひひみでIt's cheap and within walking distance from the station.
There are also convenience stores, bento shops, and general stores nearby.
I came with my 7 month old daughter.
There is also a diaper bag, microwave oven, stove,
There were also frying pans, cutlery, and plates.
I was able to enjoy baby food and milk just like at home without any stress.
It was wonderful.
I would definitely use it again. I really recommend it.
AAilaoshihaohaohaoThe hotel is relatively new, with convenient location and transportation. The airport bus station is just across the street. There are many places to eat and drink around, and it is the most prosperous and lively area in Kagoshima besides the Central Station. Check-in and check-out can be done automatically by machine, which is easy to operate and more convenient than the machines in some other cities in Japan where I have stayed before. Because it is automatic, there is almost no service.
Toothbrushes and other things can be taken on the second floor, and you can also mix bathing agents by yourself.
The room is small, but the bed is big. It is only suitable for single occupancy. It is not recommended for two people. The room cleaning is only on the third day of consecutive stays. On other days, it is just changing towels and taking out garbage. I stayed for four consecutive nights and came in to clean it on the third day. I think there is no problem. It is more environmentally friendly and saves manpower.
GGuest UserIt takes about 10 minutes to walk from Kagoshima Central to the hotel. The room is very spacious, bigger than the hotels I booked in Japan before. I am quite satisfied with it. It would be better if the breakfast types could be more diverse.
GGuest UserThe service was super nice. I forgot to bring a charger. They found me a seat right away and it was very easy. I took the airport bus and got off and went to the AMU opposite (that's the Ferris wheel🎡). I took the escalator up to Kagoshima Chuo Station and crossed it. Then I got off and walked forward for a few minutes. In fact, I saw the word ”hidden” near TOKYO INN and turned to the alley inside. It's a bit old but the toilet is very clean.
KKevinWould definitely stay at Nanshukan again! It is a business type hotel offering all the basics. Great fir solo travelers, couples etc. the room was spacious and clean.
It is centrally located so it’s within walking distance of several sightseeing spots! The ferry terminal to Sakurajima is about a fifteen minute walk! The airport bus stop is about ten minutes .
But fir me the breakfast was amazing. You can choose between WASHOKU( Japanese style) or YOSHOKU( western style). I chose the washoku and it was an amazing assortment of little breakfast goodies with hot miso soup and black pork shabu shabu , too!
Great way to start s day!
Come and enjoy a night or two at Nanshukan!
