The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

Highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Kagoshima for a short time! The location being inside the JR Station is very convenient, and the hotel was clean. Had a lot of free amenities, like some epsom salt bath! The room itself is a typical small room like you see everywhere in Japan. Would definitely recommend if you visit Kagoshima!

Since I used JAL's dynamic package, it is a little difficult to think about the cost performance only by the inn fee, but I should have stayed with meals and stayed at this price with a set of planes. If you think that the room is just sleeping, there is no problem. Convenient because it is close to the station. There is a little distance to the Astronomical Museum, but there are trams and buses, and you can walk normally. The breakfast was delicious and I remember eating too much.

Dongheng Hotel has always been the preferred hotel group for me to travel in Japan, reasonable price plus excellent location also appear in this hotel. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Central Station, there are convenience stores nearby, there are shops across the road, There is also a food store on the street behind the store street. It is convenient to find a supermarket in about 15 minutes walk. The room is a little bigger than other Dongheng INNs that have lived in the past, and it is as clean as usual. Breakfast seems to end half an hour earlier than I lived. There is no supplement after 9 o'clock. This is A little points. Overall, the hotel is very good. The Dongheng INN series continues to be my first choice for accommodation in Japan. If I have the opportunity to go to Kagoshima again, I will stay here.

It is almost the same as other business hotels, and the rooms and bathrooms are basically clean, but the bathrooms are especially small, and some of the facilities are outdated. You can be served breakfast in the lobby on the first floor, depending on your accommodation plan. There seems to be enough tables and chairs, but due to the large number of rooms, especially on holidays when the rooms are almost full, it may be too crowded to eat breakfast. However, there are cafes and convenience stores around the hotel that open early in the morning, so you won't have any trouble finding food. The hotel can be used as a good base for sightseeing in Kagoshima.

Close to Kagoshima Chuo Station, close to the city tram stop and close to the ion, the location was good. Our room was on the second floor. Because there was only a staircase, is the heavy luggage person a little hard? The room was clean and I was able to spend it slowly. The hotel staff was very kind. Because Wi-Fi was hard to connect, I was able to go to the front desk and borrow another Wi-Fi. It was comfortable. It was close to the ion so I was saved to buy souvenirs.

Convenient transportation, new and comfortable facilities, the fried pork chop shop not far from the next door is not very famous and very delicious! Thank you for your help in storing your luggage and arranging the room in advance. Unfortunately, this trip is in a hurry and I have not been able to use the free afternoon tea coupon (a cup of black tea or coffee free) that the clerk brother specially gave. This is a new hotel with bunk beds which can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. The beds were spacious and a good size. We stayed in the executive bunk family room which can accommodate 6 persons. It may be a bit tight for 6 persons but just right for our family of 4. There is full size washing machine cum dryer in the room which is very useful for washing our clothes. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast with a good spread but as there is no dining area, you need to pack your breakfast into bento boxes and eat them in your room. But we saw a sign which says breakfast will be separately charged from Jan 2024 onwards. Now, breakfast is complimentary and included in the room rate. The hotel also does not have car park but there is more then sufficient coin parking right next door which cost 600 yen from 2000 to 800. The location is quite central and a short 5-10 min drive to Tenmonkan. There is also a good ramen restaurant across the road from the hotel, Rai Rai Tei which is worth trying. Just a tip, we got a much better room rate on Rakuten than the usual Agoda, *********** sites.

Leave the west exit of the central station (big camera side) and go to the JR Kyushu Hotel. Just walk the second corner of the family on the road from the station rotary and go to the left hand. It is a little difficult to find, but I am surprised by the distance feeling too close to the station. The building is a relaxed atmosphere, the air conditioning is effective, and the dormitory and the water are clean. The facilities in the building are only shower booths, but if you want to take a large bath, there are 2 ～ 3 public baths nearby. It is not a distance to cool the hot water (it is not sweating in summer), so it is also a wind flow to go to the local public bath in Kagoshima. In Kagoshima City, where there are few cheap inn, it seems to be a regular inn because of the goodness of Cospa.
