It’s a hidden gem in Yamanaka Onsen area. Staffs at front desk were all very helpful and friendly. Same as staffs at the restaurant who were the BEST that we have met during our trip this time. They are genuine and amicable, made our stay more enjoyable. The outdoor onsen was good, as well as the little activities for guests to play. Close to the river where we can enjoy the nature as well.

We booked the Japanese style room and was quite disappointed with the room. Firstly, it was a nice room with a river view on level 2 but we were unable to open the window at all, as there wasn't an insect mesh that stopped the insects from flying in. This is totally impractical, given the fact that the room is facing the river and a forest. Secondly, the room was extremely dusty as we can see dust flying under the white lights that they have in the central of the room. And there was 4 handprints on one of the wooden beam across the room that looked like a scene from a horror movie. The bathroom stall was also mouldy and had a foul smell. The private outdoor onsen wasn't great as well as it was late at night with limited visibility and there was only 1 shower stall which was located outdoor even though the onsen was meant for 3 to 4 pax. Thus, one will need to shower outdoor in the cold weather before entering the onsen. However, the hotel provided welcome drinks upon arrivals and there was also a nice push cart that offered freeflow snacks for guests. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast was also delicious and well prepared. They also provided child friendly set meals. Overall, great food but not that great a stay.

No directions to the room. Amenities are self-service, including yukata. Drinks ordered by tablet. Tea at dinner is also self-service. It's a modern system and I think it's fine. Especially recommended for young people who are not good at being bothered. I think the private sauna and free private open-air bath are also very good initiatives. The attitude of actively hiring foreigners is also good. However, I think there is a need to educate more about the customs and sensibilities of the Japanese people, such as ``When you enter a country, follow the country.'' For example, it may be common in foreign countries for beer to be served at dinner time for 15 minutes, but it's disappointing at a Japanese inn and at 25,000 yen per night. Also, when ordering, "Do you have 〇〇?" I think there are many people in Japan who feel bad about it. Not everyone has a global mindset, and many elderly people may have an image of a so-called old-fashioned ryokan (where they take care of you from beginning to end). It would be nice to invite young people, but in this aging society, I think many elderly people have the money and time to go to hot springs, so I would like you to think about it. I don't usually write bad reviews, but when I looked online, I saw that the company president was young, so I decided to write a review to get people's attention. There were many times when I thought, "What?", but it is an inn that makes you want to support the staff.

*It may be easier for people with children to use it, but I would be happy if you could take a look. After reading reviews on multiple sites, I made a reservation for a standard room and meal plan (just under 40,000 yen per night for two people). ``Our goal is to provide what our customers are looking for and help them create happy memories. By staying at our hotel, we hope that you will have a wonderful time and enjoy the conversation with your loved ones. ” was written as an admirable motto. I heard that they also offer suite rooms and anniversary services, so I asked for an optional cake. There were free services (drinks, various experiences, private baths, amenities, etc.), and the lounge was comfortable. As soon as I got on the elevator, I thought, ``Wow, this building really has a sense of history.'' The room also had a slightly musty smell. The bathroom has retro tiles and a distinctive smell, but it didn't bother me as long as I kept the bathroom door closed. Some of the rooms have been renovated, so I was convinced that it was an old inn. I was satisfied with the view of the private bath. There was no glass or anything to cover the eyes, so it had a nice open feel. From now on, I have nothing but regrets. The points of particular concern are summarized below. Honestly, I don't want to pay 40,000 yen for this service and facility. I strongly thought. I have stayed at accommodations with various prices, but even if I had a problem, I was able to get an apology and follow-up at the time, so this is the first time I have felt so uncomfortable. The company responded to the negative reviews in a way that seemed to be serious, but there were also some similar points, which made me wonder if they actually had no intention of changing anything. If they cannot provide even the bare minimum of services, improvements should be made by reducing options, premium rooms, and free services, or by making them completely self-service. It's all half-hearted service with no sense of professionalism. I sincerely hope that even one person will not feel this way. Restaurant (dinner) The staff's perfume was so strong that you couldn't smell the food. I can't concentrate on eating because I walk sluggishly or run all the time. They don't care how long you keep them waiting, they don't see customers, and they don't come when you call them. High pressure and miscellaneous cooking explanations. The service is provided all at once from the middle of the process. Hot things are cold and lukewarm. I forgot to offer the dessert, and the flow of the subsequent cake delivery was also different from what was discussed in the meeting. The food was standard and I understood the quality, but other customers also seemed to be uncomfortable with the service. Front desk (complaint handling) I informed them of the lack of service at the restaurant, but they said that the front desk does not have anything to do with restaurants or cakes. A customer grabbed the restaurant staff and told them to do something about it. Complaints are handled with a smile. Restaurant (breakfast) The overall feel is more than simple. The most important thing, the rice, was so soft that it was just one step away from porridge. The aroma and taste of the miso soup and dashi stock were not good. No mention of drinks. Checkout There was an error in the billed amount. Apologize over the phone on your way home? However, she said, ``I made a mistake with something else...I called on your behalf, so I don't know.I have registered my card, so I can debit it for you.Is that okay?'' I wonder if it was an apology call or a collection call. Why are there so many mistakes?I complained about the above, but it was someone else's problem. I didn't want to make memories like this. I shouldn't have gone. Even if you upgrade the quality of the food or the room, you probably won't be satisfied.

We stayed at the "Premium Japanese-Western Style Room - Saika-an" which was renovated in 2012. I could hear the sound of the river flowing in the beautiful room, and although it was raining, I was able to relax in the room. There is an open-air bath that can be reserved by the hour, so couples and families can enjoy it. The food at the ryokan didn't leave much of an impression on me. .

I stayed at the suite Rokushoan 202, but it was very disappointing. Even if it can't be helped that the facility is old, I didn't feel clean. There is green moss growing on the open-air baths in the guest rooms, the foot baths in the rooms, and the windows, the metal fittings of the showers and equipment are wobbly, the floorboards are about to fall off in places, and the windows of the toilets are rusty. It was on, and the ventilation fan hood on the ceiling was about to fall off. If you get a cheap room, it's still acceptable, but in the suite, the bath is a bit terrible. There was a lot of food, but I didn't find anything that tasted great. The rice for breakfast was soggy and the vegetables in the miso soup were undercooked, which was especially disappointing. The only salvation is that the employees were nice, but there are no repeats and I can't recommend it to anyone.

Beginning with a welcome with a snowstorm, it was devised so that you can enjoy your favorite tea and drinks in the room due to the service of dumplings and cherry blossom tea, and the corona whirlpool. You can play table tennis, reserve a free private open-air bath once, and then you can use it as you like. I was a little worried about cleaning the toilet. There was also a loan of playing cards Othello, but it was a pity that I did not have all of them (laughs)

A fun device where petals fall when you enter the entrance. Hospitality with cute dumplings. It was fun to roast and eat rice crackers by myself. There were three private open-air baths. I entered two places. It was very good. The mountains are my favorite place in Ishikawa Prefecture because of the beauty of the trees depending on the season. I want to go again with my friend.
