It meets the general expectations. The hotel is very full. It could be a little more customer-oriented. The food is very limited.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my whole lifetime. I seen bad reviews but went to go see for myself and I advise everyone TO BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. Mould in the bathroom. Dirty bed sheets. Disgusting food. Not clean at all nothing like the pictures they advertised online. Was told we had no room booked once we got there. Got a room 12 hours after we arrived. Terrible service. Hygiene is absolutely shocking. This hotel should be closed down.

Absolutely awful experience. Mould in the bathroom. Food served during the entire stay was stone cold. Lacking flavour and decency. Cats all over the eating area. Some days there was no tea served due to machine malfunction. No resolution was provided. Hotel very far away from amenities. Not possible to get to anywhere without a taxi or a car rental. Staff unable to deal with issues and concerns raised. Room not cleaned when requested. Overall awful, awful and dreadful experience. Will never return there again neither will I ever recommend this place. Simply avoid!

We had serious issues at our hotels such as mould in the fridge and walls that was covers up with paint or wasn’t. This affected my asthma and left me needing my Salbutamol inhaler which is only used for shortness of breath. I only take Symbicort Turbohaler which is one I take daily and this is an enough to keep me from an asthma attack. It’s a good thing I took my Salbutamol one or I would have needed to go to hospital. We complaint at the reception multiple times and they kept telling us they will change our room but they never did. We had to sleep with the balcony room door open just to help me with my breathing throughout the night. The fridge wasn’t working and wasn’t cleaned and had mould all in there. Once again we asked for this to be fixed and cleaned but it was never cleaned either. There was mould in the bathroom on the walls and the room which was either left exposed or cover with paint which was flaking on the floor all over our clothes and shoes. We didn’t take our clothes out of the suitcase because there was no room or it was covered with flaking moulding paint. When we arrived for two full days we had no hot water throughout the day and struggled to shower. As a Muslim women I should have warm water to perform wudhu, after complaining they said it would be fixed but it didn’t get fixed until the third day we was there. We still didn’t have hot water during the morning but only at night, the head of the shower split mid shower and that resulted in another trip to reception asking for a new head and we had to wait till it was fixed before we could use it. The shower had no shower curtain or anything so every time we had a shower it would flood the floor so we needed towels after towels. This was because the drain wasn’t taking the water so it would flood the bathroom and we could only take showers for a few minutes. We went to reception and asked for this time be looked into but it never was. Then each time the drain drained it would leave a smell of poop in the room. It was like we were getting other people’s drainage through our drains which made the smell occur. We complained again but still nothing so we could never have the door open to the bathroom, to air out the bathroom. Each time we went to reception everyone was complaining about something, either poop in their water. Mould on the walls, no hot water, someone opening their door while sleeping. Or that they were overbooked and couldn’t stay at the hotel. I was told my reception that they have three rooms available and ten different guest arriving tomorrow which they will have to be turned away because they have not rooms available. He showed me the system to prove we couldn’t upgrade to a better room. That the food was awful and was ordering take-away. Or eating out at Land of Legends.

The title of this review might seem like a gross exaggeration on first inspection. Still, please read the whole review to understand why the moniker of Belek's 'Shining' Hotel is truly justified. This holiday was meant to be a celebration of my sister's recovery after a long battle with thyroid cancer. Yet, it turned into an absolute nightmare due to the appalling standards at the hotel and the numerous issues we faced. Given that Hotella Hotel and Spa is advertised as a four-star establishment, we expected a high level of service and comfort, but it fell far short of that standard in every conceivable way. When we arrived, it was clear that the hotel did not live up to its advertised four-star rating. Our room was filthy, with dirty surfaces and a foul odour, which was utterly unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one with such a rating. This was just the beginning of our distressing stay. On the second night, the drainage in the shower backed up, resulting in sewerage flooding the bathroom. This was disgusting and a severe health hazard, which we found deeply concerning. Despite our immediate complaints, the hotel staff showed little interest and left the problem unresolved for the remainder of our stay. This, combined with an ongoing ant infestation throughout the hotel, made the environment wholly unsanitary and unfit for guests. The Wi-Fi, advertised as available throughout the premises, was intermittent and unreliable in our room and public areas. This made staying connected or planning our activities impossible, adding unnecessary frustration and stress to an unpleasant experience. The inability to rely on basic amenities further compounded our disappointment with the hotel. The most serious issue, however, was the food. Both my sister and I suffered from food poisoning after eating at the hotel, which we believe was due to undercooked or expired meat being served. This left us physically ill for the remainder of our stay, forcing us to avoid eating at the hotel altogether. This ruined our holiday experience and incurred extra costs for meals elsewhere. Considering that this was a supposed four-star hotel, such negligence in food safety is inexcusable. To make matters worse, most hotel staff could have been more helpful and dismissive whenever we raised our concerns. Rather than addressing the issues, they seemed indifferent, rendering us helpless and frustrated. We also felt wholly exploited by the exorbitant taxi fares organised through the hotel. A short journey between the hotel and the nearby town of Belek or the Land of Legends was charged at an outrageous €15/₺600. This was profiteering and money-grabbing, as the distance was minimal, yet we were forced to pay these inflated prices due to the hotel's arrangements. This left a bitter taste in our mouths and only added to the sense that we were being taken advantage of at every opportunity. To make matters worse, during one of our excursions, we encountered a highly aggressive

We visited this place from 22 Sept 2024. We were initially placed in a room in block 2. We paid for a 'club' room, thinking this was an upgrade, but found it was the cheapest of the cheap. It was awful, no balcony, 90% of the room was taken up by the bed (tiny room with nowhere to sit), and the fire alarm hanging off the wall (see pic). We visited reception and were told we could upgrade, but not until tomorrow as the cleaners had gone home. The price was €10 per night, ie €60 but if we paid cash, the receptionist would reduce this to €50. We accepted but then found the nearest cash machine was 2 miles away at land of legends. We were initially happy with the room upgrade when we got it, but this was short lived. For the first few nights we woke up to ants crawling all over the toothbrushes and sink. We slept with the toothbrushes under the pillows to hide them from the ants, but the found the ants had moved to the toilet. We complained to Lokman (the rep), who said he'd ask the hotel to fumigate the room, but this didn't help at all as the ants continued. The food was awful. On the rare occasions it was labelled, the labels were wrong. It was badly wrong, for example most dishes (including mashed potato), were labelled as 'calf'. We had the runs for 3 days, mentioned this to the rep who said its probably because the English like the drink. He didn't mention the fact that the restaurant was closed one night due to hygiene issues which we found out from reception. There were also lots of cats roaming through the restaurant while people were eating. Not the most hygienic of places. If you like going for a walk out, this is not the place for you. There is absolutely nothing within half an hour of the hotel. You can turn left out of the hotel and walk for 40min and get to land of legends, or walk for 70 min and get to the beach, or you can turn right and walk 45min to Belek, but wouldn't recommend this as there's not much there (apart from Burger King). Overall, the communal areas in the hotel are nice and modern, but the rooms are awful and need attention. If you're happy to fight for sunbeds and stay in a hotel 24/7 then stay here, but if you value hygiene and/or want a decent room, and/or want to venture out, then avoid.

The worst, rooms dirty, cats in the dining area, staff rude, food horrible, bedding and towels not changed so I had to get them myself, glasses, plates let in corridors all day long, toilet leaking, shower door broken. Will never ever go back even if you paid me.
