The accommodation impresses guests with comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a varied breakfast. However, some find it overpriced due to limited facilities and poor service.

Out experience was a one star! Bed linen not changed, in every room we found hair, bugs and dirt on beds. Called receptionist, and I know it wasn’t just his/her fault but waited an hour for somebody to clen up and change the sheets and nothing happened. (12 am after all day traveling) So very disappointed, our room was the most expensive in the “resort” and never would have imagined that we had to sleep in someone else’s bed… Just unexceptable!!!! Wery disappointed

I want to begin the review by pointing out that I'm a HUGE fan of Efteling. Our family has stayed at the Efteling Hotel on multiple occasions and have been completely enchanted by our stays. The park is also our favorite, better in our opinion than Disney or Universal. We booked a 6-person house at the Bosrijk expecting the same magical experience and quality Efteling had spoiled us with before. We were very dissapointed. The outside part of the hotel is beautiful, admittedly. The woods, the entrance, the main building, they all look fine. But step inside the rooms... And oh boy is it different. We had read reviews of "I found a spiderweb", and "I found something dirty", but assumed it wouldn't be the usual. Whoever is reading this; please don't make the same mistake. Every single wardrobe was so full of dust and foul-smelling we couldn't use them. The TV was small and old, but though it's a "luxury hotel" we didn't mind that. We did mind the huge spiderwebs on the ceilings. There was one large spider on the kitchen ceiling we couldn't reach and called "Charlie". There was another in one of the bathrooms. On our bed frame was a huge spiderweb we had to clean and a spider we had to kill. Not exactly the luxury experience. Just when we thought the accommodation seemed like an abandoned ******* house, full of dust and spiderwebs, we found a dirty sock in the children's room, and not one but two candy wrappers lying on the floor of one of the bedrooms. The bed linens were clean and new, and a few towels were provided, but that was as far as the cleaning went. But this was all fine, compared to what came next. Walking into the room my child would be staying in, checking for more socks or whatever, I spotted something on the ground. I discovered it was an incredibly rusty nail, with multiple layers of rust, lying there in a position to be stepped on and break skin. That's when I realized the lack of care given to the house was DANGEROUS. Not only did we have to clean the bathrooms ourselves, pick up the trash lying everywhere from the guests before us, clean up spiderwebs, and not use the wardrobes, but we also had to proceed with caution around literally everything. It was so dirty you never knew what you could find. The hotel does have potential. Beautiful entrance, beautiful nature, lovely restaurant. But the fact that we didn't feel safe or comfortable made any other economic hotel feel like a luxury compared to this one. Which should be a crime considering the price tag and "luxury" marketing.

Stayed at unit 536 - far end of the park - long walk to the parking lot and even further to the theme park. Heating in the unit didn't work - was told that thermostat has a motion detector for underfloor heating that takes hours to warm up - so to warm the unit, you have to walk around near the thermostat by the front door for a few hours? Didn't provide umbrellas or ponchos. Pool is nice.

We love this park. Fairy tale atmosphere, charming in all the seasons, spacious, comfortable, clean houses, my favorite place to stay in the Efteling. It has a supermarket, a restaurant and a swimming pool on the premises, which is super cool. A bit of a walk from the park though, especially when you walk back in the rain with tired kids after walking all day in the park.

I recently had the most horrendous experience at Efteling Village Bosrijk, where I booked a luxury woodland house for a whopping €1,488, expecting a premium stay. However, what my family and I encountered was nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering a stay here. We arrived late, just before 1 am, and were instantly appalled by the condition of our luxury woodland house. The house reeked of a terrible odour, both toilets were filthy, and to our absolute horror, we found human faeces smeared on the toilet wall (photo attached). We immediately contacted reception, and within half an hour, we were offered another property. However, this was not the luxury woodland house we paid for, but a regular woodland house, lacking a sauna and being slightly smaller. After repacking our luggage and moving to the new house, we discovered it was missing basic amenities like shower gels, shampoo, and even hand soap. By this time, it was nearly 3 am, and with two small children, this was nothing short of a disaster. We couldn’t shower or wash our hands and were left without any assistance as the receptionist had left. The next morning, we approached the reception to report that the new house was also dirty, with dust, dead spiders, and filthy toilets. The reception acknowledged that the house wasn’t prepped for guests but promised it would be cleaned while we spent the day in the park. Though some cleaning was done, the towels provided were of such poor quality and dirty that they were only fit for floor mops (photo attached). We spoke with reception staff member Stefan, who had limited authority to address our concerns. We then contacted the hotel manager, Robert, requesting a price reduction for our 3-night stay, arguing that we deserved a refund for the first night due to the unacceptable conditions. Robert offered a mere €150 credit note, citing the difference between the luxury woodland house we booked and the regular woodland house we stayed in. This offer was an insult, especially given the severity of the issues we faced. Robert refused to provide a refund, claiming that since the house was now cleaned, we had the option to move back. This was utterly ridiculous and demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Our stay at Efteling Village Bosrijk was marred by unclean facilities, a lack of basic amenities, and poor customer service. Despite the eventual cleaning, the experience was traumatic and far from the luxurious stay we paid for. I strongly urge potential guests to reconsider booking here, as our ordeal was a testament to the hotel’s lack of care and professionalism. This experience was one of the worst we have ever had (and we travel a lot), and I hope this review helps prevent others from enduring the same. Efteling Village Bosrijk, you need to seriously rethink your standards and customer service policies.

We visited as a family and had a four bedroomed Woodland House. As part of the booking we could park in the main car park and enter the theme park. Entrance to the lodge was after 16:00. The lodge itself was very warm and welcoming. The main bedroom was massive. The accessible room was big enough and the bathroom superb. We ate in the onsite restaurant on both evenings. The food was excellent, and the service was first class. The village is only a five minute walk to the theme park, so ideal for us. We also had breakfast pastries delivered in the morning - a very good option if you don't want to get up early. Good TV options for the evening. All in all a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Quirky village houses in a beautiful woodland setting. Felt very Harry Potter! Spotlessly clean and spacious family accommodation. Children's book and sleeping caps gifted on arrival, which was a charming surprise. Very comfortable beds. Pizza delivery was very welcome after a long day in the theme park. Breakfast is tasty, although would perhaps have appreciated the addition of sausages, beans etc to make a proper cooked breakfast. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Clear signage everywhere and safe car park area. Car-free accommodation village gives kids the freedom to walk safely without worrying about cars. The Efteling app is easy to use and very helpful to navigate the park and make the most of your trip. Thank you for a wonderful family holiday with 3 children (aged 12, 9 and 6), we would 100% recommend staying at Bosrijk.
