Parking is a Joke! they charged 30.00 a day without notification prior that there was a cost . In addition, the lot was full of employees parking in the clearly designated guest parking and spaces are 90% marked compact with giant SVU and trucks crammed in that take up more than one space. It feels like a cruise ship on land and not relaxing at all. Too many people shoved in a small space and the rooms were not spacious. You are not in control of the thermostat as the facility has highs and lows set that cannot be overridden. Time share presentation was fine the salesman was nice but these people are out of their ever loving mind if they think over 100K a year for 1-3 weeks worth vacations is a "good investment" not to mention huge yearly maintenance fees. Remember folks, you still have to pay for transportation to get to the destination and then food. We will go back to Maui just not with Marriott. Rent a Vrbo instead! We have done that too and it was a much more relaxing experience

Honestly, this a great hotel. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly, great beach, open all night pools, and a shuttle to Whalers. My one complaint…concierge. They are very nice but double check everything they say. We talked to 3 and each one gave us wrong information. Also lack of dining options but who doesn’t rent a car in Maui? Would definitely return.

I actually really enjoyed it. My room looked up to date. Very nice hotel staff at front desk and bell boys. Housekeeping could have been better. I liked the big tubs which i didn't get to use from coming home too tired every night after a full day out. I loved having the beach and reefs right there and being able to snorkel all along the coast. The swimming pools and jacuzzis looked nice too. The hotel lobby and grounds were pretty. I liked how you were able to walk to the other 2 resorts next door, and they had a farmers/ crafts market one day. I liked having the laundry in the room - you don't get that at the Marriott Kauai. I would have liked more selection of food than what the restaurants offered, but Whaler's Village was close by. I didn't like the parking spaces being so cramped and too narrow for your rental car.

I wanted to make sure to write a review as soon as we returned from the Westin Kaanapali Resort North. There are several not so great reviews of this resort out there. We have vacationed at several resorts all over the world and this is, one of our favorites. The service was outstanding! Whether it was more supplies for the room or extra towels for the pool the delivery was so fast, so friendly and they always called to check we got what we needed. My daughter lost a ring and they did everything they could to help us find it. We eventually found it in the room. Pool and spas are spotless. Beach is fantastic. Turtles and great snorkeling right off the back. Only knock would be the prices of drinks at the pool bar, should be better for a timeshare. Big props to Westin/Marriott! We will definitely be back!

We went to this Maui resort to celebrate my wife's birthday and Mother's Day. Housekeeping didn't come everyday and my wife left a pearl bracelet on the nightstand. We left the room for an hour and it so happened that housekeeping had been there. My wife immediately went to the nightstand and it was gone. The housekeeper was next door when we went into our room but when my wife made a commotion and we came out to ask the housekeeper she and the cart were gone. We spoke to security and I tried speaking with the hotel manager everyday but never even got a call back and she supposedly was never in her office. On top of it all we had to go to a timeshare sales presentation and they tried to sell us a $50K package! We will NEVER stay at this resort again.

This place has gone downhill since 2016. Room is highly dated. Concierge only available in main lobby and not at rest of the desks all over the complex. Room not properly cleaned when we arrived had to have them redo some items. Towels are mostly dirty some with lipstick stains on them when you get new ones. Cleaning of room is supposed to be daily but when you call and ask about it they always say we are not on cleaning schedule. The next day we are on the schedule for every day, and then again not on the schedule. For over $600 per night this is not worth the money, Taxes alone are over $100 plus the resort fee. Restaurant staff is friendly, but menus at only two places open are the exact same and highly overpriced. Food is actually boring after the first day. They lack most top shelf liquor at the bars. The restaurant/bar was closed for 2 days without any notice to guests other than a small handwritten note on the restaurant entry. The grocery stores are almost triple priced compared to anywhere else on the island. One store is supposed to be larger in the south building yet its about the same as the north side store with same things for sale at the high prices. They have palapas which fill up fast each day, The cabanas both at the pool and the beach are priced in a totally absurd way. Even 4 seasons prices are lower than these cabanas which are nothing but small areas with a couch vs. pool chairs. If you happen to have your stuff on the pool chairs, they will remove after an hour t if you decide to hang out in the water and not your chair. Pools are not the cleanest since they don't do a good job of cleaning them during the day. To get pool and beach towels you have to have a card from the front desk. Attendants really don't seem to like their job when handing out towels or collecting them. Wait they don't collect them; they tell you to throw them in the bins yourself while giving your card back first. Parking is $25 per day plus tax. Used to be free. I guess they want to make more money somehow. Overall, not a good place to visit compared to years ago.

We are owners at the Westin North. This was our first trip since Marriott took over. The concierge tried pressuring us to an owner’s update, which we never do. Was rude about it when we refused. The rest of staff was great. The rooms have suffered. Not sure what my $4000 in fees is paying for but the silverware was mismatched if not missing entirely. There were stains on the carpets and everything just looked old. People walking around smoking (and not just cigarettes) despite the no smoking signs and plenty of unsupervised kids in the adult only areas. I don’t mind the number of kids at all but they need to be supervised and swimming in the pool, not the jacuzzi. This property has suffered under Marriott rule. Thankfully the staff was pleasant and accommodating when we needed things or had questions.

The biggest joke of a resort. The employees really don’t want you there. It is smelly and not cozy at all. Super loud with children screaming and crying. Save your money ………… I’d recommend staying at a mom and pop bed and breakfast and don’t waste your money on this hotel that literally stole water from Lahaina.
