Let's set the scene.... a huge thunder and hail storm hits Junee. I look over and see that the rain is coming in under the front door. I message my friend two doors down and she is having the same issue Storm is getting worse. Towel at the front door is sopping up the rain. I turn around, and at the window overlooking the courtyard, I see a dark figure trying to get my attention After jumping about two foot off the ground (and wondering if this is the start of a horror movie), I open the door to the courtyard to the owner of the motel bringing extra towels around to all of the units. I was going to go and find dry towels after the storm, but there she was, out in the storm. Very handy location, walking distance to everything int he main part of town. Generous sized rooms and very comfortable bed, and pillows that didn't flatten down to nothing when you put your head on them.

This was a solo trip with my wife staying home 6hrs north. I unfortunately had to cancel my booking the morning of the intended stay after my wife had an accident and broke her leg. I literally rang the motel straight after speaking to 1 of the attending ambos who confirmed leg broken in 2 places. I understand the cancellation policy but was hoping for a little compassion under the circumstances. The booking had been made via Qantas using points and Qantas contacted the motel on my behalf to try to cancel the charge. However the motel refused to co-operate
