We stayed in one of the Wilderness Suites, the one on the left to be exact. The term 'wilderness' fits this small house. That starts with the road to it, where you have the feeling 'is this correct' and 'will I get up here'... You really need a good car to drive this road in winter conditions. The cottages are beautifully situated directly on the river and the managers do their best to make it cozy with lights along the driveway and candlesticks at all cottages that burn in the evening. Inside it is a bit like camping in one of these small houses. One of the beds in the wilderness suite on the left really needs to be replaced. The bathroom is also really manageable: in one small room, there is both a sink and an open shower; when someone showers, the whole bathroom is soaking wet. The washbasin is one of those very small things that many people have hanging in their toilet. It would help if there was a shelf near that sink, now you actually have to put your things on the floor. You get one large towel per person, which you must use for sauna, showering and normal washing. An extra small towel per person would be a big improvement. The soap in the bathroom was gone. The sauna in the wilderness suite on the left did not work properly and could only be lit with the help of the caretakers; they did fine in themselves, but it does mean that you cannot easily use the sauna several times and that is a pity. The two houses on the left and right in the Wilderness Suite are very noisy. You can understand the neighbors word for word. The breakfast is 'do it yourself'. The evening you get there for a bag of yoghurt, a few Z****se sandwhiches (delicious if you warm them up in the oven that is there), a pack of orange juice and sugar and milk for your coffee . Coffee is available in the small kitchenette. The cottages have underfloor heating, but at -20 or colder outside, you really have to light the wood stove, which is of course also fun to do. Do not forget to turn on the heating in the toilet, otherwise you will freeze to the seat… All in all, for the price you pay for it, quite OK. For people who want to travel on a low budget, keep in mind that this house is very remote. Although you can basically cook for yourself in the cottage, you do need a car for groceries.
