Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Perfect Downeast Cottage
The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

Fantastic Week on the Ocean
Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

Perfect Fall beach destination
Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

Amazing ME Coastal Getaway!

We are coming back!
This was a perfect week for an older mom and adult son to spend quality time together. Two floors provided each with privacy. Kitchen is great for cooking together. Although the house was perfect it is just a house unless you mention the 180’ view of the Gulf of Maine. We were able to watch the sun rise. Moonrise , sunset and even moonset if you were awake. Then there is the beach a few steps away!! A gorgeous view, a beautiful home. Already made reservations for next year!

The house is light and bright with gorgeous water views. The town has few amenities, but this is the place to come if you want to get away from it all.
