Hotels near Surau Al-Irsyad in Johor Bahru

This is my first time staying at the hotel. I booked twin sharing room and the room is small & no bedroom slipper, no hand towel in the bathroom, no shower cap, tv no signal, called the technician but its fixed but the moment technician left, it lost the signal again and at the end we stay in the room with no tv! I have to say that the room and bathroom are clean. I realized that the location was not convenient because it takes at least 20-30 minutes to reach PLCS like paradigm, Topen, and City Square. Although the hotel provides umbrella, It was raining and the floor very slippery and to have a breakfast outside the hotel and to walk to the breakfast area in the rain with the slippery floor it is best for the hotel to sheltered where guests can be safe to walk to the place. The breakfast isn't great, as there are other hotels that offer superior buffet spreads, but it's a decent buffet that comes with the cost. Final, it is an average hotel with average hospitality. Need improvement . Thank you

Pretty decent hotel. The location is amazing since it's in the Austin area. Infinite good food here. Everything is in walking distance. Breakfast choices are decent, can surely be improved by having more choices. The decorations can too be improved, the hotel is blessed with too much space, thus this is something they can think hard on to fill in all the blanks. Else it looked empty and sad. Price wise and hotel room is good. Will still recommend this place mainly due to the amazing location.

The room is small, but okay for a short stay. Room had flies in it so cleanliness is 😅 otherwise service is good and there is no lift in the building/ no toothbrush provided. 🙂 Nearby got prata place which is cheap and affordable.

A nice place to stay with nearby facilities - restaurants a lot and, KK Speedmart just beside the hotel, available parking in front of the hotel.

During my recent trip to Malaysia, I stayed at JSL hotel. The hotel's central location was convenient and the staff was friendly. Nearby shopping center for ice cream and restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable, but could be improved in terms of quality. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay with potential for enhancements. Rating: ★★★☆☆

Good for a budget hotel, but we can't expect 4* comfort at 2* price. Like others have pointed out, the pillow and blanket were thin, the room lighting was glaring, but we have a window facing the main road so we just turned off all the lights at night and pulled back the curtain to let the lights from outside glimpsed in. Most importantly the bathroom was clean and we felt safe with the lift activated by card access. Location wise, it is about 10min walk to the busiest part of Mount Austin, but it didn't feel safe to walk back to the hotel at night, so we had to get Grab for the short distance. Overall, we may stay again but this wouldn't be our first choice.

I travel for business, because I have training at JPFSA, so this is the most decent hotel in the area. This is a small town not far from Johor Bahru, the capital state. Easy to get Grab Service and a lot of eating place. There a bar and restaurant next to the hotel, Japanese Restaurant Opposite & Bakery opposite the hotel. Room is spacious, bright lighting and decent decoration, there no wardrobe. It's ok for 1 or 2 nights. Quite safe for woman traveller. Breakfast can be better. They only serve coffee/tea with sandwiches and noodles/fried rice. Please dont set high expectation for breakfast. This area mostly office area for freight forwarders and other small businesses.

The staffs are helpful. The room was okay. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. There are free toiletries but no toothbrush. But for me it was acceptable. The hotel has a lot of parking spaces. The cleanliness of the shower area need to be improved.

Very basic room. Small and no window. Worn looking furniture and toilet in a sad state. Worst thing was climbing 3 storeys up to the room so if you have luggage, please skip this hotel as it has no lift. Best thing about it was the location which is near to Aeon Tebrau, Toppen and Ikea.
