Johor Bahru Hotels with Swimming Pools

The hotel are great to stay, please avoid on monday if you driving otherwise you will struggle to find a way looking for parking in the building due to they have night market that block the way enter the KSL parking facilities. The breakfast are simple but good enough, they been downgrade each time im stay here even room also furniture aging. Some photo took in JB mall and restaurant.

the room we got the toilet was choke but thankfully the staff allowed me to change room so the service was not too bad & the area was v easy to travel as well.

The hotel is strategically located between Jalan Trus and Jalan Wong Ah Fook, prime location if you were to visit JBCC and City Square. It is also close to take the bus to Singapore. The hotel room is of decent size, filled with wooden furniture. Too much carpentry, furniture and these designs are outdated and non sustainable imho. Bathroom size is good with good Roca fittings, however, more detailed attentions could be given to the water pressure and floor trap flow speed. The tiles and bathroom furniture again is old design despite the hotel is relatively new (completed in 2017/2018). The bed is huge. The only good part is the complimentary executive lounge served with beer, food and beverages. The wine selection however is one of the worst in 5-star hotels, it would be better to do without the wine and put the money into better food/fruits. The hotel is hardware driven and I felt there are a lot more that can be done apartment cleaning the room and wash the toilet to make it a truly 5-star hotel. Based on my experience, it's at best a 4-star hotel at 5-star price.

I recently stayed at Thistle Johor Bahru, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel offers a beautiful view, especially if you get a sea-facing room—the daytime scenery is quite nice and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The overall vibe of the place is calm and peaceful, perfect for a short getaway. Cleanliness was decent, though I did notice that some areas could use better maintenance. The pool area is well-landscaped and adds to the charm of the hotel. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with good service and nice views, this is a solid option. However, a little refresh in some parts of the hotel would make the experience even better!

The hotel needs a renovation and update with the interior. The room (Premier King) is very spacious but the space is not properly utilized. TV is very small. Wall scones are almost falling and sanitary wares are old. WiFi inside the room is okay. The aircon and mini bar fridge are old but still working very well. There were hairs in the bathroom when I checked in. For breakfast, the pancake (Jan 29th) and Apam Balik (Jan 30th) are very very delicious as well as the dimsum. The water melon however tastes like onion (Jan 30), I suspected it was the knife they use to cut the watermelon. The hotel has so much potential if renovated. I just noticed they are not observing safety as they are using the ledge in the corridors to make a temporary rack for towels and rugs while the housekeeping staffs are cleaning the rooms. These might fall on the atrium which might harm someone below.

All good just that suite room is kinda small in size, but the living room is very spacious and toilet bowl has no leg space because the glass door for shower room is exactly next to the toilet bowl. maybe can make room bigger and reduce the size of living room and definitely leg space at toilet bowl area needs to be enlarged or replanned. The buffet spread was super delicious and variety of spread. Each n every one of the staff at different department was absolutely friendly, helpful and well mannered! Thumbs up to all and the excellent service provided.

A Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn JBCC, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel features a well-equipped gym, a beautiful rooftop infinity pool, and comfortable lounge areas. The pool was a great place to relax, especially in the evening with the city lights in the background. The business facilities also seemed well-suited for travelers needing workspace. Overall Experience: Holiday Inn JBCC offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Paragon Hotel, and overall, I had a great experience! The hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its strongest selling points. Its proximity to the checkpoint made traveling a breeze, and I appreciated the convenience. While the hotel's location is top-notch, there's room for improvement in terms of the amenities provided. Specifically, I found the towels to be somewhat worn and well-used. Replacing them with fresh, plush towels would elevate the overall comfort and luxury of the stay. On a more positive note, the breakfast spread was delightful! The variety and quality of the dishes were impressive, and I enjoyed starting my day with a satisfying meal. In conclusion, my stay at the Grand Paragon Hotel was enjoyable, thanks to its fantastic location and pleasant breakfast. With a bit of attention to detail regarding the amenities, I have no doubt that this hotel could truly shine. I would recommend it to fellow travelers and look forward to returning in the future.

This is our first time staying in this hotel. The journey to and from CIQ was less than 10mins. Super convenient. KSL mall is literally behind the hotel. Reception service for check in and out was smooth and efficient. All officers are smiley and friendly. Sahur was amazing and surprised with the spread they offered. Love all the food serve and my kids love it too except for the funny taste of the milk for the cereal? (I didn't taste it tho) Room: Love the view with fireworks vibes and space. However, there is a musky smell awhile after we on the aircon. Lucky I have my perfume in handy. Towels has a funny weird smell as well but since it is a night stay only. We used it anyway. Some parts of the sink is dirty but not too noticeable. (Hopefully the carpet will be removed). Did not even get to see the pool due to the short period. Will be back again with my kids.

Affordable hotel for a weekend staycay, located at a convenient location near food options and KSL! Newly renovated room is also clean, and the bed is comfortable! Only downside is that we were given a connecting room so we could hear our neighbours talking/ coughing 🥲 otherwise, all is good!
