We did not get an earlier check in and they had trouble finding my second booking despite me offering multiple times to show them my booking on the app and with the booking number ready. The staff at the reception, Lynda, was a bit curt and I felt like we were being lectured by a schoolteacher! 🧑🏫
When we checked in later that day, thankfully the other staff were friendly and smiley, demonstrated perfect typical Malaysian hospitality.
Despite the above, the rooms are fine. They managed to get us adjoining rooms on a high floor with a decent view eastwards. There are connecting rooms if you ask them for availability.
Shower is good pressure, cleanliness still have some dust on the floor but acceptable for the price point. Note the swimming pool is closed indefinitely until further notice.

its not our first time going here but everyth’s is great except the water heater. it labelled wrongly so instead of the “H” its actually cold water, so must turn to “C” for hot water instead.

Hotel is value for money. Very spacious for this price. Location is centralised yet not overly crowded as compared to city square side. Only down side - rooms are abit old and smell quite mouldy. The convenient shop at ground floor is a ripe off - no price tag, no cashier but calculator? Items are overpriced too

Excellent Stay at Trove Hotel. Was given a room with a nice view overlooking Singapore. Service provided by front-desk staff is excellent.

Stayed few times here overall was good, make sure to ask for the room facing the city instead of the abandon building next to it

Not bad for a room at $60 per night. Their housekeeping seems to be very slow. At 3pm check in, most of them rooms were not clean up and ask us to accept lower floor rooms. I have requested for high floor but need to wait 1-2hrs later. Room for improvement to fix your lighting brighter as toilet is too dim to see properly. Not all lift card access is working. Some lift don’t even need to tap to go up. Not very safe as anyone could just go up.
