This used to be one of our favourite hotel before FIVES it was BAGUS CITY HOTEL. After pandemic is called FIVES HOTEL which still maintained the service , cleanliness. Hotel is just opp komtar and city Square where you can shop, dine and watch movies. Local food are all walking distance. Hope the price wld be better for weekdays booking.

Consistent with brand standards, bulk-size amenities are provided here at the Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre and while I do appreciate the positive impact these initiatives have on the environment, the body wash bottles located by the shower area were empty when I checked-in to the room. The opaque bottles definitely make it hard for housekeeping to check whether a top-up is required so this is quite certainly a pain point for everyone. Affordable and modern rooms in a great location make Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre a great choice for travellers from Singapore without private transport.

I took a leap of faith and booked this hotel room despite some negative feedback from other travellers about this hotel on various platforms. I was upgraded to the deluxe room by the kind receptionist Ikmal. Thank you very much! Here’s my honest review of the room. First impression, the deluxe room was extremely spacious. The room was also very clean. The bed sheet smells fresh. There were some minor spots on the bed sheet but it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel provided 2 pairs of slippers and 2 bottles of water. I did not use the water kettle. All the basic amenities in the washroom was also available. The aircon took a while to get running but it got colder as the night draws in. The noise isolation of the room was rather poor as I could hear noises from outside the hotel even though I was on the 8th floor. Despite the noises, I was able to sleep relatively well thanks to the soft pillows provided. One thing I found annoying was that the bathroom door cannot be closed shut fully. As the the result, some of the cool air from the air conditioning escaped into the bathroom. Please note that if you’re driving into JB, I don’t think this hotel has a parking lot. Kindly confirm before booking. Overall, I would book this hotel again as the pros (close proximity to the customs and dining options, clean room and value for money) outweighs the cons and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a decent hotel to stay without breaking the bank. First time staying. To my surprise, there's no power socket by/near the bed, which can be a bit inconvenient, had to unplug other location to use it. There was a power trip in the whole building, I was trapped in the lift, horrific experience. Took about 20mins for the power to return and to stabilise, after the incident certain floors, there was no WiFi coverage and TV signal. No explaination or apology/compensation was given when we approached the staff.

Stayed in superior queen room for two nights. Big receptionist at checkin was unfriendly and charged me RM10 more than stated from booking which is pennies but more for the principle. Room was relatively clean. Safe provided did not work. Kettle available in room. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The door separating neighbor provides no sound proof also can hear what goes on in hallway. A/C works well, no place to hang clothes, few channels tv, stained bed sheets, rainfall shower head only trickles, water temperature was difficult to calibrate, either scalding hot or cold.

Very good service wish to book again, price is chip compare to other hotel. Staff also excellent good behave. Very completable stay near jb sentral.five minute to go jb sentral

Everyone in my group loved it. My kids loved it so much. Clean, spacious. We arrived late but they were very accommodating with the set up of the extra bed. My only gripe was there's no extra key card so while the kids were resting in the room, I had to ask for assistance from front desk to help me get into my room. N I ran alot of errands 😂 but the staff were very nice. Aircon wasn't very cold for a new hotel wish we could have increase the speed of the ceiling fan.

First of all, the hotel is brand new. The hotel is very close to the JB city centre yet located in a very quiet surroundings. Secured indoor parking. The 2 Bedroom Suite is definitely worth every penny...extremely generous in space, a very functional kitchen, spacious dining area and living room. Would definitely come back with family & kids as they have a nice kids pool at level 5 with nice view of Johor straits & also Singapore!

Worth the price! Aircon is new! Toilet water is high pressure with water heater! Overall is clean but the bedsheet is dirty with stain mark. Beside is restaurant and booming song during dinner time, ask reception to deal with then and miraclelly they understood:)happy stay! No lift, have to climb stairs. Book on the spot only with rm79!

Hotel is old but room is clean. Basement carpark is dirty and has sewage smell but otherwise the whole hotel seems relatively clean. Basic amenities are provided, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, hand soap, cotton bud, shower and shampoo. Only shaver not provided. Location is good near KSL mall.
