Hotels with Bars in Johor Bahru

I've booked 2 rooms via trip.com. I've took pictures of the half eaten food and food debris strewn around the table. There was rat in the room - 2706. I've bought 2 'siew pow' for the my next morning pre-breakfast snack and left it on the table next to the TV but was eaten by rat(s). I've shown the pictures to your reception staff but was told that they will send the cleaner ro clean up the mess, a solution which did not address the issue. It's not the cleaning up we are concerned about but the frustration and minor loss we suffered. Also, seems like the room they let out was renovated halfway through with the wall not painted and floor laminates not properly sealed.

Nice hotel. Room is bright and great location. But isn’t super clean. Hair and powder found on bed. Amenities don’t have cotton pad. Hair found in packaged earbud. Breakfast was pretty good as attached. Will stay again if price is reasonable. Without discounts it’s not worth it.

Room Number: 1128, 1129 Pros: - nice sea view - comfortable bed - separate bathtub and shower area - Huge pool (feels like a resort, with slide for children so very family friendly) - decent size gym - breakfast buffet had decent variety and taste (very value for money given cost of room) - staff were friendly and proactive Cons - Room shows serious signs of ageing. Even though could see that it was refurbished, things still look like they are falling apart - not sure if it’s just my room, but tv channels come and go. Sometimes it’s working and sometimes it’s not. Limited channels as well. - pillow was way too soft - My King size bed was actually two super single beds put together. - Only bath towels provided and it was very worn. No other towels provided. - Not really baby friendly as there hotel does not have baby shower tub. Thankfully room comes with a bath tub - sound insulation pretty bad. Could hear sounds from the corridor

You can walk to CIQ but takes around 8-10 minutes. Not covered. There's a swimming pool but according to my kids, it's very cold swimming in it, not sure if it's the current weather. So they are not ecstatic about it unlike other hotels we have been thru. The pool is not that clean either. But the gym is top notch. Breakfast top as well. The room is great and warm cookies were provided during check in. The hotel team gave my daughter a small cake for her birthday upon request. Kudos! Free AC charger (I got around 2.7kW) for EV car (6hrs) The good stuff definitely overshadows the minor weaknesses.

Consistent with brand standards, bulk-size amenities are provided here at the Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre and while I do appreciate the positive impact these initiatives have on the environment, the body wash bottles located by the shower area were empty when I checked-in to the room. The opaque bottles definitely make it hard for housekeeping to check whether a top-up is required so this is quite certainly a pain point for everyone. Affordable and modern rooms in a great location make Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre a great choice for travellers from Singapore without private transport.

We been here for few times. This time when we checked in, we met Receptionist name, Ms Nor Ashikin. She's grumpy, not friendly and has no eye contact. When we ask questions she didn't give eye contact. We wanna to inform her that we book 2 different booking, one with Trip.com and the other booking is directly to the hotel, due to rooms available at trip.com. Through our explanation, she didn't give us any eye contact. We have to ask again what we need to do. With her eyes looking at the screen, she told us tomorrow come down again with the key. That's all, so the next day we meet Ms Natasha, she was so friendly and helpful. We found out that Ms Nor Ashikin missed out our requirements. Ms Natasha helped us up. For Ms Natasha I will give 5 star but for Nor Ashikin, I'll give one star. Overall we love our stay here and will definitely come back but we hope we won't come across Ms Nor Ashikin. Not only to us, she was very hostile towards other guests too. The management needs to do something about her hostile attitude towards the Guest especially.

Great location, right beside KSL. But the mall was closed due to CNY. The rooms were dated but very clean All the staff from check-in counter to house keeping and restaurant were very friendly and professional. Breakfast situation was pretty chaotic the restaurant was very full until the staff had to open banquet tables for guests waiting in the queue. Food was mediocre but it was replenished very quickly. Overall, a pretty good hotel if the rates are reasonably priced.

Great value for money when booking online.Hotel are huge and rooms are spacious.Cleanliness and housekeeping are tip top the best hotel I ever stayed.Staff are so friendly,helpful and always gave a fast respond.My upmost gratitudes to the receptionist counter.... Duty Manager Ms Nur Mashytah,Ms Sandra, Ms Sesla and the rest of the staff for their greatest service,helpfull and most importantly the hospitality.My stayed there feel too short and feel like going back there again now but too bad due to work but will definitely come back this time with my family.Really happy and joyed being there.Thank you once again to the hotel management and all the staffs for the best service provided.My stayed over there has been really the sweetest moment I've ever had!!!Salute to all.....Those who read this review I highly recommend to stayed at this hotel...Yes by online it's for sure value for money instead of walk in.Money isn't the matter of facts but what is the most precious thing that we had or bringing back home is nothing else compared except satisfaction, happiness and of cos the least ”the sweetest memories” and the precious time while spending our holiday.The location, amenities and also tne surrounded environment is really at the BEST spot yet it is a duty free area best for shopping which located right in the hotel mall.Plan to go back there maybe after April this time with my parents....Last but not least thank you so much to all staff for making my stay the most greatest memorable.Jutaan Terimakasih semua!!!!
