Hotel Chauncey Iowa City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Fun Eclectic property. Interesting and fun to have bowling alley and movie theatre as part of the property.

Hotel was very nice, however toilet was clogged the whole time. We finally called the morning we left and it took 45 minutes for someone to come by and unclog it. There was also a food wrapper left in our ice bucket. When checking out, had to wake up the front desk person that was sleeping in the adjacent room. However, we were very impressed with our room.

Great location, very large room with kitchenette and floor to ceiling windows. The reception was very nice.

Room was great, but because of all the glass, the furnace kept kicking on & off, it was very loud & dried the air in the room to a point that it was uncomfortable after a couple days

Was surprised to see $30 parking fee for both vehicles. You would think the only place to park is connected ramp that it would be included.

Was a quick weekend trip with some friends. Weather was unbearably cold, but we managed to enjoy everything Iowa City. Really could not ask for more from a place to stay. Convenient to everything downtown, Movies, Bowling, Coffee among other amenities right within the hotel. Highly Recommended!

Room is so spacious with all of the kitchen components to make the stay comfy and easy. Kuerig, yes, but such a cool coffee shop on the 2nd Floor. King bed was wonderful with awesome sheets. Large windows and nice dark out curtains. Not much of a lobby, but that is fine, the building has lots of fun activities happening, including bowling...why not?!! Great stay!

Reception desk made check in easy and was also very informative. Room was spacious and had all the amenities one would need for an extended stay. If definitely did not have a warm feeling to the room. The table and 4 chairs could be useful, but did not fit or suit the other furniture. Seemed like an after thought. All in all, the aesthetic was clinical and cold. If I were in town for business, the space was perfect. If I were there for a romantic long weekend, I would look elsewhere.

We had a wonderful room and the floor plan was very comfortable. The view was great - and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
