The highlander was great - our kids loved it! Not to mention the service and the food were perfection.

I had a great time with my teenagers at his hotel. The retro boho vibe is great and is carried through to the smallest details. The breakfast is generous and delicious, with great choices for the gluten free person and the dairy free person in our group. The pool area is spacious and inviting, although the hot tub could be hotter. The supper club/arcade was fantastic. Great variety of games, without being overwhelming. There was a strong odor in the super club/arcade however. It smelled like the combination of vomit and cleaner (with sawdust) used in my k-12 schools. While everything was very clean and the staff was thorough, that smell was not part of the retro vibe we were looking for! Will definitely visit again, hoping the smell has dissipated!

Kind of a cool approach...this is an older hotel and the management kind of rolled with it and re-did it with a retro vibe. So in some sense, the original architecture plays into the new theme. The rooms have great big windows and kinda funky furniture. There's a large indoor plaza with a big pool, hot tub, and poolside rooms. The attached restaurant has a fairly small menu of food with pizza, sandwiches, and pasta. The food here was very good. Coplimentary breakfast was also quite good. The service staff was on top of their game here too. Food was kept stocked, dishes cleared quickly, everyone was friendly. Great place to go for large groups, family reunions, etc. But there are rooms away from the pool if you want to avoid the noise.

• Dirty carpet
• Wouldn’t move us to a different room
• Way over priced for a half “fixed up” Ramada Inn
• No refrigerator, microwave, or coffee maker in room which seems standard
• arcade was at least half full of games that were broken but unmarked

Nice pool, some arcade machines. Breakfast passable. The shake blender broke. Many arcade machines not working. Understaffed but those that were working, were working hard

Everything was great the staff was great. I was surprised that there was no phone in the room in case we needed the front desk. I was also surprised that electric car charging stations are in prominent places over handicapped parking. otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Highlander as an enjoyable place to stay.

Fun place to stay and hang with family or friends. My one complaint was the gap in the bathroom door when closed. It was a barn door style and still left a solid inch for people to peek in. Will ask for a different room next time.

There was zero supervision and regulation of rules in the pool area. We were looking forward to the 9-10pm break from the chaotic children in the pool but they did not leave the area and were both swimming and in the common pool area through the duration of the adult time. Additionally, there was some sort of fiber or foreign substance floating throughout the pool when we attempted to enter. We decided it was too filthy and left the area instead.
Our stay wasn’t at all what we expected or what was advertised. Highly disappointed.
