Honestly, Trip Advisor needs a 10 star rating just for 58 on Hume. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. It's almost impossible to find places that feel like a luxe treat but also make you feel as if you are right at home but Michelle & her team achieve that - from all the lovely little touches right there in the room (nice teas, French press coffee, snacks, incredibly comfy bed with nice fluffy pillows & good linen.....) to the morning chats over brekkie & pats with the two pups. The grounds & property overall are beautiful & also very handily located near the restaurant precinct at Rosebank. We absolutely loved staying & will definitely be looking to book again if we return to Johannesburg in the future. Thanks Michelle for making our stay so nice, it was exactly what we needed after a long plane ride.

So pleased we found this lovely place in preference to a more traditional chain hotel. Beautiful comfortable accommodation and Michelle such a lovely welcoming and helpful host. Home cooked food is delicious and all the staff made our stay a delight. Cannot recommend highly enough. If you are visiting Joburg treat yourself to a stay here.

Gorgeous property, fabulous staff. Nothing is too much trouble for Michelle and her team, who make this a true home from home. The breakfast and the home cooked evening meals are delicious. The room is big and comfortable, and is provisioned with everything you could possibly need. Absolutely fabulous.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 4 nights. We were extremely pleased to have had a lovely place to rest after crossing the Namibia desert and enjoying safaris. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, with excellent bedding. The balcony was just a wonderful place to rest, read and enjoy cups of tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. Michelle is just a very considerate, extremely helpful and gracious hostess; her staff are excellent, very helpful and professional. We have seen very good reviews about this hotel, but what we experienced surpassed our expectations. We do recommend to anyone, that appreciates lovely things in life, without hesitation.

58 on Hume has become my second home when traveling to South Africa. Michelle is the best host ever, and her staff is magnificent. That place provides simply you with all the superlatives that I can come across - go and enjoy - you won’t regret.

Seven years travelling every week for my job, I rarely gave a rating for an hotel on internet but this place is different. 58 on Hume is an excellent place to stay in Johannesburg. The house is secured and lovely decorated. You really feel at home... and what a home! The bedroom was really nice too and big. Some attentions for the customer are lovely offered in the room too. The dinner can be prepared at your request and was really good. A complete bar is available in the main room and the breakfast was one of the best I had too, including fresh fruits, hot and cold hole made things. Michelle and all the staff are really kind and can't be more helpful. Definitely a good choice for your stay!!!

Spent a wonderful couple of days here whilst in Johannesburg before a tour. Michelle and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s a beautiful oasis and feels like a home away from home. The breakfasts were excellent too and wish we had more time to stay for dinner too. Highly recommended
