Fabulous welcoming home stay. Beautiful decor, lovely room. Stayed here in 2011-and I wouldnt stay anywhere else In Jodphur. Looked after by lovely people from beginning of stay until had to reluctantly leave. Restaurant really nice too -thanks guys!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Juna Mahal Boutique Home stay in Jodhpur, and it was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in India. The homestay is set in a 472-year-old heritage house, beautifully preserved and located right in the heart of the old city. The atmosphere is rich with history, yet the place is incredibly well-maintained, clean, and welcoming. The location is fantastic—it’s very close to the train station and the adjacent bus station, making it easy to reach for travelers. The airport is also nearby and can be reached by rickshaw in under 30 minutes. However, since the homestay is deep within the narrow lanes of the old town, cars cannot reach the doorstep, so you’ll need to take a rickshaw from the main road. Thankfully, rickshaws in Jodhpur are very reasonably priced and fair—unlike in some other cities, they don’t try to overcharge tourists. The family is happy to arrange transportation for you, making the journey smooth and hassle-free. From the moment I arrived, the family made me feel at home. Before my trip, Jimmy, the son of the family, personally contacted me on WhatsApp to confirm my arrival time, and when I got there, he was waiting for me, personally welcoming me and even carrying my bag from the rickshaw—a small but thoughtful gesture that made for a warm and memorable start to my stay. Earlier during my trip, I had injured my knee, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. A young *** named Arjun was particularly helpful; he carried my heavy bag all the way to the top floor when I arrived and again carried it back down to the main road when I was leaving, even hailing a rickshaw for me to get to the airport. Traveling alone with an injury can be challenging, but their attentive care made it much easier. I stayed in a top-floor single room, and the view was absolutely breathtaking—you can see the entire city from there. The rooftop restaurant is another highlight, offering a wide selection of dishes at very reasonable prices—perfect for enjoying a meal while soaking in the views. The homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. The family offers various activities, including a camel safari, and they genuinely enjoy sharing their culture with guests. A unique feature of the house is its beautiful home temple, and if you’re interested in learning more about Hinduism, the family can take you to a local temple service in the evening—a non-touristy, authentic experience that gives insight into local traditions. The intimate atmosphere of the homestay makes it easy to connect with other travelers. Jimmy is very friendly and sociable, often introducing guests to one another, which creates a warm and communal environment. That said, this is not a party place at all—it’s a calm and peaceful homestay, making it an excellent choice for both single travelers and families. I travel many years in India and prefer Homestay, because of the feeling of being in a family, their friendliness and support. Mostly very good. This homestay: EXCELLENT. If When. I arrived in the swall streets I had a moment I thought this would be a disaster, but when I entered the house, its was like coming into a different reality. could rate I with a 20 instead of 10, I would do it. Very antique and decorated rooms, good food, amazing view on the 3 terras floors, quiet. Usually I stay one noght, now I did 2 and returned after a weel for me more nights. I feel like part of the family and being a friend.

This Haveli is very beautiful, tastefully furnished and well cared for. The views are magnificent from the Rooftop Restaurant where it is very relaxing after being in the busy streets of Jodpur. Location is excellent, situated in a quiet, tiny street in a local, authentic area of the old city of Jodpur. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay. If you want an historical and comfortable stay with all amenities provided, then don’t hesitate to come here. Highly recommended.

While traveling with friends through India we spent three wonderful nights at the Juna Mahal. The hotel is very nicely furnished with an eye for details and from the roof top you have a good view over the city. The hotel is centrally located so you can explore the old town and the Mehrangarh fort by walking. One morning we also did the blue city walking tour organized by the hotel. The tour is highly recommended as the great tour guide will show you many things you might probably have overseen and provide you many background information. On the roof top you can also enjoy delicious food freshly cooked. Arjun will make sure that all food wishes will be fulfilled.

Beautiful, over 300-year-old, family-run haveli in the old town of Jodhpur. Mehrangarh Fort, Sardar Market (Clock Tower), Toorji Ka Jhalra Bavdi (step well) are all within walking distance. We arrived late in the evening and although the kitchen was already closed, Lal Singh, the good soul of the house, prepared a warm and delicious dinner for us - as he did every evening during our stay. Our room was very nice and clean, as was the bathroom. The owner organized a laundry service for us as well as transport to the airport. We would book the accommodation again at any time.
