Well, it's a hard one, as the staff made everything they could do to help. So it has nothing to do with their attitude. However I would be lying to my fellow travelers, if I gave any better scores than this. The biggest problem with the hotel that it is rundown and dirty. I mean, unusually, very dirty. This would be unacceptable even for a 2* hotel, not for one that claims to be 4*. The carpets on the corridors and the rooms are visibly full of stains, haven't been washed probably for year. The towels have hair on it. The breakfast is borderline pathetic. The lobby is extremely cold. It was -2 C at night, but they couldn't close the entrance door, so it was almost as cold as outside. The staff was sitting in thick jacket behind the reception counter. We ate rice and boiled egg, nothing else. The location of the hotel isn't ideal either. There are many nicer accommodations way closer the entrance of the Jiuzhaigo National Park for which you wouldn't have to fork out 50 yuan to get to by taxi, if you are lucky enough to catch one. I have to commend the staff though. Although they spoke little English, they tried hard to make our stay a bit more comfortable. It's not their fault, that it was almost a job impossible
