Hotels in Jinghong with Swimming Pools

Great location with lots of food options in the neighborhood a short drive away or a bike ride away. The resort area comprises of Pullman, crowne plaza and Wanda. So if u prefer to eat in one of these hotels that’s an option but much more pocket friendly options in the area too outside of this hotel area but close by. Rooms are comfortable. An outdoor and indoor pool are available but the indoor one water is too cold and needs to be regulated. The steam and sauna are not always on so if u are the first one to use like in my case then u have to wait till it heats up and gets fully operational. Steam worked great but sauna not so good. Jacuzzi was busted and non-operational. Don’t forget to get ur swimming caps as even though outdoor pool one is not required but if it rains u must go to the indoor one as per hotel rules and for indoor u need a cap and to buy one at site is very expensive. The check in desk person Jacky Chen was very nice and helpful. Smooth check in process. Eva he at the breakfast buffet was also very kind and friendly and all the staff generally were good. However the staff at the front entrance gate need to be trained better to talk to customers like they normally should to customers but I felt they were very rude although it was not there intention to be rude. They just need better training. Parking is not allowed around the entrance circle but many people are allowed to park and is not consistent. If they allow one car to park then they should allow all. Local cars should not get preference. Even the help staff at the breakfast should be trained a little more to serve customers as it was quite chaotic. Overall a pleasant stay but some improvements required as highlighted above.

An exotic feeling hotel, with some beautiful spaces to take pictures (which seems to be the main activity - sadly - for travellers in Xishuangbanna). I stayed here for 4 nights, check-in was fairly smooth, although a cheeky comment about whether the gym was part of my normal routine or not, was not hugely appreciated. A very large hotel, quite dated, but with spacious rooms. My room had a comfortable large bed, a huge bath (the plug didn't work - but they did fix this promptly) and a lovely balcony area. Unfortunately, there were so many palm trees outside of my room it blocked a lot of the natural light, so the room was always quite dark - 21st century problems 🤣 I loved how the aircon automatically turned off when the doors opened - helping the environment 😊 I did not have breakfast any day as I was up and out early, and with limited vegetarian options I ate only once in their Chinese restaurant - where the chef prepared a special meal for my dietary requirements. The bar area, well, wasn't a bar, but the lobby lounge was a wonderful space and their iced coffee was a real treat each day! The children's pool was closed for maintenance but the indoor pool was available. Location was good, I was able to travel to everywhere quite simply using DiDi (although they will not take people to the Botanical Gardens). A particular thank you to Lee, who offered excellent help in English when I was unable to get any transport. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a good base for exploring Xishuangbanna 🌴 ☀️

I stayed in Xishuangbanna for four days. I stayed at this hotel on the last day. I still prefer the heart-warming service of a five-star hotel compared to an online celebrity hotel. The staff member Zoe called me the day before check-in to ask if there were any children staying with me. She also made a thoughtful inquiry According to my personal preference, I helped to book the free photo provided by the hotel. I didn't make an appointment for a photo for personal reasons, but this hotel is the first choice for bringing children! Quiet, well rested, afraid of mosquito bites, and thoughtfully prepared grass ointment, and there are peacocks in the hotel lobby 🦚, they are real peacocks! You can also experience handmade DIY non-heritage inheritance projects! Anyway, spending a day at the hotel is no problem at all! The swimming pool photo is also very good! I am very satisfied with this stay. The thoughtfulness of the staff, Ms. Zoe, made me even more satisfied with the hotel! I will choose to live here again next time.

A group of five people decided to come to Xishuangbanna suddenly, so they chose the Shawanli Sunset Hotel near Gaozhuang. The hotel has a warm service attitude. The event butler can also pick you up and drop off in the Gaozhuang scenic spot, and will also enthusiastically help you avoid lightning. Overall, it is good. . The hotel also provided a complimentary airport pick-up service. The pick-up man was a local who was very enthusiastic, down-to-earth and down-to-earth. He also paid for the car for two days. The man picked us up at the hotel on time every day. He would be our guide on the way and explain the local customs to us. and scenic spot characteristics. We returned to the hotel very late every day, which was very embarrassing, but the chef didn't have any bad attitude. Fruits are very expensive in Gaozhuang, and the chef will enthusiastically help us find farmers' markets to buy cheap and fresh fruits. The whole trip was very comfortable. I will look for this chef next time I come and recommend it to other friends! The check in was smooth. Having booked a club room meant breakfast was a quieter experience and we had somewhere other than our room to chill out in if we wanted. Anthony was great because he spoke excellent English (a female colleague also offered lots of help in English but I'm sorry I didn't take her name) The rooms were always clean, the bed very comfortable and a good bath to relax in after busy days exploring. The balcony was good but our room didn't get any direct sunshine so was a little chilly. The hot springs was really relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed! It would be better to have some information in the room about times, locations, amenities etc as we had to ask about shuttle bus services, etc etc. The lounge needed more staff at peak times but we did stay during a peak season...

The boss is super enthusiastic and the explanation is in place. Airport pick-up service is also provided. Make an appointment one day in advance, and the driver will contact the pick-up station. The most attractive thing about the hotel is the swimming pool, which has a cute shape and a water level of 1.4-1.7 suitable for adults and children. There is also a children's pool for small children. There are also a lot of swimming rings. Children like yellow ducks. As soon as they arrive at the inn, they are in the pool. The best thing about the room is that it has a balcony, where you can cool your clothes, play with your children, chat with your husband here at night, have a small world of two, and overlook the swimming pool. The disadvantage is that the bathroom facilities are too simple and old, which reduces the overall feeling.

The staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. I am glad I booked this location. I am not a party animal, so I think it is very quiet here considering how loud it can get at night with the noise from the rave and night market. There is a nice walking path that follows the river across the street from the neighborhood in which the homestay is in. Next time, I will try to bring a bike or standing scooter to travel around easier but most places in the city can be reached within 15 minutes by taxi.

I was afraid to book the Wanda Vista because of the many reviews I read about filth and non-English speaking staff. When we arrived it's true there weren't that many English speaking staff but there were a few, and quickly one of them gave us his WeChat, it helped a lot to communicate, he was really kind and helpful. So thank you very much 赵学杰, you made our stay easier and better. About the room, the interior is quite clean, the terrace not so much, we had to ask them to clean the bed outside, they cleaned it and changed the sheet, but I didn't understand why they hadn't done this before… Most of the service is quite nice, maybe the cleaning service can be better, the following days they changed the towels when we didn't want it, and when we needed that it be changed and expressly requested that be changed, nothing has been done. The trash bin was not automatically emptied.
For hotels of this standard, we expect the room to be cleaned twice a day. 
The breakfast is quite good and again the staff are really nice. 
On the whole, we had a good stay, we enjoyed a lot the private and the shared swimming pools.

We were in a double room facing the pool. It was very clean and, even though not very big, it felt spacious. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean. We had a small balcony that was also very clean and well maintained. There is a clothes line for hanging any wet clothes or washing. The room has a mini fridge which is fantastic. They also include key toiletries. The wifi is good most of the time. The hotel has free self-service laundry. The outdoor pool is large and both the water and surfaces seem very clean. There are children playing in it most of the time. Around the pool are a few chairs and loungers but not nearly enough. There is space for more chairs definitely. The gym is small but has dumbbells from 2.5kg to 25kg and an adjustable bench. It also has 2 running machines and 2 bikes. It’s worth going there and turning the aircon on an hour before you want to work out. It would be useful if there was a couple of yoga mats as well. However, most reasonably priced hotels in the area don’t have anything so this was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast has the usual Chinese options of some fried dishes, steamed “bread”, noodles and then boiled or fried eggs, sliced bread, some cereal, fruit, decent coffee. It was simple but good. You can definitely get a nutritious and filling breakfast here. There is a small shop/bar at the lobby that sells a good range of beer and snacks (like instant noodles etc). The prices are decent (12rmb for a beerlao). There is no lunch or dinner at the hotel but you can order in easily using meituan or Elema. The location of the hotel is peaceful and quiet. It is at the end of a ***** of hotels in the Gaozhuang area (main tourist area). The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the main restaurant / night market / tourist area and back to the hotel. To get back to the hotel you need to call and say where you are then they’ll come get you. It is a walkable distance though and would take about 10-15 mins. There are shops and restaurants on the way. The staff were very accommodating and even lent us a fruit knife when we bought some mangos.

Very huge hotel, well located on the left bank of the Mekong, therefore away from the city center and its infernal traffic. The place is calm especially in the evening and in the morning, which is essential for a good night's rest. The rooms are large, clean and offer all the amenities and services one would expect in a hotel like this. Small regret: no USB socket in the rooms ...... The service at the reception is impeccable, some staff speak a little English. The breakfast is huge, chinese and international, you will find there all what you like. Ample parking in the basement, free for hotel guests. The hotel is located at only 300 meters from great golden pagoda and most interesting at the same distance from Gaozhuang night market, which is a must see in Jinghong, dont miss it. The hotel also offers an exhibition of ancient local crafts, well documented and really interesting ( from Yunnan museum)
