TaoYi ChangYang Hotel

The four days we spent at TaoYi ChangYang Hotel were one of the best parts of our 3 week trip to China. I honestly didn’t understand that the hotel was inside the bounds of Tao Yang Alley or even what Tao Yang Alley was all about. The alley and the hotel were spectacular. We had reserved room 13 but were upgraded to room 1 - a room that was 50% larger and usually bills for twice the price. It was an absolutely amazing room. If you’re thinking of booking at the hotel - a few things to know… First there are two parts to the hotel - a large, modern, western-style hotel and then impeccably restored rooms in old buildings adjacent to the modern part of the hotel. I highly recommend the old, restored rooms. Second, finding the hotel is tricky since its entrances (and exits) are unmarked. Tao Yang Alley is an old-style street layout which was meant to confuse invaders. In this case, you are the invader. However, once you do find the hotel, you’ll love it… And lastly there seem to be two other TaoYi hotels in Tao Yang Alley if you can’t find the type of room you’re looking for - try one of them.

Absolutely Amazing Stay at Tao Yi ChangYang Hotel! I had an incredible experience at TaoYi ChangYang Hotel! Everything was just perfect – from the elegant and stylish design to the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The attention to detail was impressive, and every little touch made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is fantastic, offering both convenience and a peaceful retreat. The amenities were top-notch, and the overall ambiance was simply exquisite. On top of that, I accidentally left some of my belongings at the hotel after checking out, and the staff went above and beyond to help me get them back. Their kindness and efficiency truly made a lasting impression! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay.

Hotel is inside the place of attraction TaoYangLi which allows a free admission into it. The service is great especially 小汪who was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is amazing, located in the old center of city . We booked a courtyard and it was a wonderful experience! The breakfast location and some rooms are in a new building connected to the old courtyards. In the booking app it is not clear where the rooms are located. So make sure you book a courtyard if you want to stay in a historic building! The historic courtyards give a the feeling of diving into the old history. Through the back door you can directly access the Imperial Kiln district which is amazing too. You don’t need to pay the entrance fee than. One note: don’t be scared if you pass along your bathroom: the toilet will always automatically open.

Nicely done modern hotel in the edge of the current Taoyangli history/culture zone. Rooms were good though our balcony overlooked an area that was still being redeveloped for the tourism area. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good location to get directly into the current tourism zone area. One point to note. The free parking at the hotel is an 800m walk through the tourism zone to the East gate. The staff got our car to the door to unload, then came with me to show me how to access the car park. The area outside the hotel is still being worked on so note some building work. This didn’t affect our stay.
