City Garden Hotel (Jinan west high speed railway station store)

Good value if you have a train to catch early in the morning Very close to the Jinan West station Room is small but ok Ī Lots of restaurants downstairs,some open late

Hotel is called Urban Garden and Not City Garden. Very Near to from Jinan West Train station and Ok for travellers taking Early Morning train and staying one night. Entrance of Hotel is strange and not like a Lobby or entrance. Hotel is located on a square with many eateries and restaurants outside. Room is very small and floor is dirty as if it has not been cleaned. Strands of Long hairs,debris, dust on the Floor make it uncomfortable. Room was supposed to have window but the Room given was with a small window on top which could not open and leads to the hallway. There is No Ventilation. Most important is that one side of the Room has glass partition instead of the wall which is transparent and shows the hallway. Outside people can also look into the Room if not covered by curtains.. We have to pull and close the curtains for privacy. Hotel staff is friendly and the reception even told me they could offer me a better room with proper window facing outside with fresh air for 40Rmb more if I booked with them directly instead of online. Location of the Hotel is good and there are many other hotels, restaurants in the same area but Hotel is poorly managed and Rooms are not clean. There is a smell inside the Room. Towels are torn and unclean. Basically very average. Location, restaurants nearby make up for the lack of amenities and unclean room.
